Snowdown Durango

Don’t let the smiles fool you. This group of supervillains, better know as the Snowdown Bored, spent the weekend scheming up ideas for and beyond.

Thank you for hosting all of us again this year.

Entries for the Light Parade are now open! This is Durango’s biggest parade and the only one that occurs at night, perfect for villains to gather and scheme. There is a limit to 60 floats total and we always hit capacity. To sign up or to learn more, visit our website.

You saw the outline of the plan, now let’s get into the diabolical details. Thank you Alpine Bank for once again making our poster possible.

Created by Shan Wells, the poster features villains in an ice bath (the “chillin’” part of our tagline!) catching a movie at The Rocket Drive-In. If you look closely, you can see one of Durango’s favorite bad guys, Pinstripe from Rotgutzen Intergalatic HQ (Ska Brewing lore, anyone?).

The entire poster highlights the villains we grew up with, the ones we love, and the ones we instantly think about. There’s someone here for everyone! How many can you name correctly?

Fashion Dos and Donts will be hosting VIDEO AUDITIONS for the first time for the 2027 show. If you’ve ever wanted to strut your stuff on the runway, get your application and video submitted by October 23 (that’s one month away!). It’s almost time to submit your events! Submissions will go live September 1 via our website and we have some exciting updates. Event organizers will now submit events through a streamlined form, which will also include an FAQ section, event statuses, and scheduling assistance.

Need some help brainstorming? Email [email protected] to discuss your ideas. We are also considering a brainstorm workshop. If this is something you’d like us to schedule, email Sheri as well so we can get the details ironed out.

Call us biased, but we have the best volunteers! Thank you again to everyone who makes Snowdown happen each year and we hope you’ll join us again to make the greatest… we, most diabolical… one yet!
