Last week, we brought together an incredible group of women for our inaugural WomenConnect Mixer, hosted at my office at Northwestern Mutual - NC.

Having this event here was meaningful to me because part of my mission is to normalize walking into a wealth management firm.

For many people, wealth management can feel like a space you enter only after you've accumulated a certain level of wealth. I want more women to feel comfortable walking through those doors, asking questions, having conversations about money and understanding the resources available to them.

WomenConnect gave us an opportunity to do that a little differently. Women came together to connect, laugh, share experiences, exchange resources and have meaningful conversations all within a space dedicated to helping people plan for and build their financial futures.

Thank you to my WomenConnect partners, and Merriweather, who brought their own expertise, businesses and energy to this collaboration, to w**e for enhancing our palates and filling us with fresh farm to table fare and to every woman who joined us and made the evening what it was.
