A heartfelt note from Marigold. š
After a lot of thought and soul-searching, Iāve made the difficult decision to close Marigold Marketplace.
But donāt panicāthis isnāt goodbye just yet! Iām still working through the details and timeline, and Iāll be sharing more information soon. I promise to give you plenty of notice before we close.
Three years ago, I opened this little country market with a big dream. What I didnāt realize was how many wonderful peopleāand friendshipsāwould become part of the story.
Marigold has been so much more than a store. It has been a place to celebrate local farmers, bakers, makers, and food producers, and a place where Iāve had the privilege of getting to know so many of you.
I am incredibly proud of what weāve created together in Durham, and so very grateful for your support, your friendship, and the part youāve played in this little dream.
Iāll keep you posted as plans come together. For now, thank you. Truly. š Please continue to shop with us over the next few weeks - everything must go! Even the decorations and refrigerators!

Have you heard the news? Marigold has a new partnership! Welcome to the store Longacre! Owner Ray Rumiano is building a fabulous new cheese store in Chico! But in the meantime, you can get his tasty creations right here in Durham! The Jambon Beurre is the best sandwich in town! The perfect balance of salt and butter between a freshly baked baguette from our friends over Camina. And his charcuterie plates are the perfect summer snack! Filled with expertly selected cheeses and cured meats! Stay tuned for more delicious treats from Longacre as the summer unfolds!
