Why do practices outsource their billing and practice management to AMS?

Because the benefits go way beyond just getting claims paid.

No cash flow interruptions from staff turnover or sick days. Access to a full team of certified experts without the overhead. Higher paid claims rates. Lower employee-related expenses. And coding that's optimized to get you paid correctly every time.

When you partner with AMS, you're not just outsourcing a task. You're gaining a team that treats your practice like their own.

If a payer requested 50 patient records tomorrow, would you be ready?

By the time a payer requests records, they've already identified a reason to look closer. The review didn't start with the request. The request is just the next step.

Proactive audits let you evaluate your records the way a payer would before they do. So if that letter ever arrives, you're prepared and not scrambling.

Our latest blog asks the question every practice should be asking right now. Read the full blog now: https://appliedmedicalsystems.com/news/

Happy National Wellness Month from the AMS team!

In healthcare, wellness looks a little different. It's leaving work on time. Not dreading the month-end. Having a revenue cycle that actually works without constant intervention.

We handle the billing complexity, so your team can focus on patient care and maybe even take a real lunch break.

Here's to a healthier practice and a healthier team this July.

Every organization will be audited at some point. The real question is how. Will it be an internal review you control? Or an external audit you have to respond to?

That distinction matters more than most teams realize.

External audits are triggered by payer data. By the time they begin, the scope is already defined, the concerns are already identified, and the burden is on you to respond. You're reacting, not preparing.

Internal audits flip that dynamic entirely. You ask the questions. You identify the issues. You fix them before anyone else is looking.

Our latest blog breaks down why taking control of the audit process matters and how a proactive approach protects your practice. Read the full blog now: https://appliedmedicalsystems.com/internal-vs-external-audits/

Not every revenue cycle problem is a compliance problem. But they all get labeled the same way.

A denial lands. A number looks off. And the instinct is to send it straight to coding. Here's what that instinct gets wrong: most problems quietly draining your revenue aren't compliance issues at all. They're operational breakdowns wearing a compliance costume.

Front-end gaps leak revenue. Mid-cycle gaps create real compliance risk. Back-end gaps erode financial performance. Three different problems. Three different fixes.

Our latest blog breaks down what's actually hiding in your revenue cycle. Read the full blog now: https://appliedmedicalsystems.com/the-hidden-compliance-gaps-in-your-revenue-cycle/

Billing knowledge that lives in one person's head is not a system. It's a risk.

When one person holds all the processes, all the payer knowledge, and all the workarounds, your revenue cycle becomes completely dependent on that person showing up every single day.

One resignation. One medical leave. One vacation. And suddenly nothing gets processed, denials pile up, and cash flow takes a hit. It's one of the most common vulnerabilities we see in medical practices. And most don't realize how exposed they are until it's too late.

AMS gives your practice a full team behind every account. Documented workflows, consistent processes, and built-in redundancy so your revenue cycle keeps moving no matter what.

That's what a stable billing operation actually looks like. Click the link in our bio to learn more.

No matter where your practice is located, AMS brings the same level of accuracy, transparency, and efficiency to your revenue cycle.

Small practice or large hospital system. Rural or urban. We work with healthcare organizations across the country to simplify billing operations and keep revenue flowing.

Your documentation looks complete. But is it consistent? There's a difference. And that difference is where risk lives.

When providers document the same service differently, it creates variability that's hard to defend. Different levels of detail. Clinical rationale is implied instead of stated. Modifiers applied inconsistently across providers.

Claims may still be getting paid. But when payers look at patterns across providers and time, those small differences become visible. And visible inconsistencies trigger documentation requests, denials, and audits.
