🚨 Heal Tree Break-In – Please Share 🚨

At 4:58 AM on 7/6, Heal Tree in downtown Durham was broken into and our front window was shattered.

The individual pictured is a person of interest and appears to match someone who previously came into our store and grabbed approximately $120 worth of merchandise before running out. During this morning’s break-in, over $1,000 worth of h**p flower was stolen — not to mention the broken window, which is likely going to cost a lot to repair as well.

The individual’s physical build, clothing, and distinctive backpack appear to match the person seen in surveillance footage from the previous theft. We’ve also heard from other downtown business owners about similar incidents involving someone matching this description who has reportedly been traveling by bicycle.

Between theft, break-ins, and the current h**p bill that passed the NC Senate, it feels like small local h**p businesses are being squeezed from every direction. We’re just a locally owned small business trying to help our community, serve our customers, and keep our doors open.
