Here's something I bet you didn't know. The penny on my cheek is worth $40 today. Is it inflation? No. Am I sleep deprived and delirious after hard training? Probably. But listen up, the fact is this penny is worth $40 and if you have a penny and are willing to post a picture here then yours is worth $40 also. All you have to do is tag and post a photo of your penny. You can find one on the street or in your sofa cushions. You don't have to be "cent" imental. But you do need to take action today. It just makes "cents". If you can't find a penny, that's just non"cents". You're welcome for the dad jokes. And you're lucky I didn't tell the story that starts with "back in my day,... A penny was..."

People always ask me about my training, assuming that's the most important part of my routine. In reality, any success I've had is due almost entirely to my ability to recover from hard training. I'm always on the lookout for the best products in every category. I focus on the basic disciplines of sleep, hydration and nutrition and keeping my stress levels low. I'm not always perfect in those categories but I do my best. The one place I am perfect is picking products that represent the latest in technology. My new current favorite is the NoBull Recharge slide. Putting my feet into these shoes sends a signal to my body that it's time to chill.

Here is a very cool short video from my recent trip to Tanzania. A large group of us reached the summit one time in 7 days. And then a much smaller group of us summitted for a second time, making it to the top in less than 12 hours. The physical challenge is pretty self-evident. Suffice it to say it was hard. But as usual the mountain was the star, and the porters and guides were the most inspirational part of the trip. Doing hard things on purpose, with a group of people who want to experience hardship together, always makes for the best trips. It was beyond exceptional. Thanks to everyone who came along, thanks to for putting it together, thanks to all who trusted me enough to say yes and thanks to Pemba Sherpa for the great cut. I can't wait for the next adventure.

Celebrate today by grabbing a nice cold glass of water from the faucet or fridge. But today, take just a small extra moment to acknowledge the beauty of that water and how life would be so different without it. Then drink it down and say "thank you".
I was once again reminded of the significance of clean water as I spent a couple weeks climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, interacting with guides and porters who come from small villages and big cities all with the same problem....access to clean water. This is a solvable problem with real solutions. Let's double down on our best efforts in 2026.
