Port City Daily spent time with Justin Robinson to tell the story behind German Soul — our live documentary about how German foodways shape what many of us grew up calling “country food” or "soul food," and the many implications for the history that defined it. During the Q&A following our screening at Cucalorus, Justin made it clear that his goal is to "unflatten the map" and expand our sense of a deeply multi-cultural, multi-lingual land that is still represented in the food today.
