We had our most successful summer ever in 2026, and those camps don’t happen without the help of the City of Durham Community Engagement Team.
Thank you for everything you do for Durham! We hope you enjoyed your ride-along!
It’s a good thing they made the axels strong on those Grummans in the 80s!

Five years ago, the Durham Fire Department lost a great firefighter and friend.
Jeremy Klemm died on 9/18/2021 after serving the department for 15 years.
He is greatly missed by all who knew him.
Greatest job in the world. Even Drake would agree 🔥🔥

This is a ✨tanker✨ appreciation post 💪
When a fire breaks out in a rural area without access to fire hydrants, the tanker has you covered!
These vehicles come prepared with over three thousand gallons of water on hand - compared to only five hundred on a traditional fire engine.
There are three tankers in the City of Durham - can you name what stations house them?
Fellow firefighters - how long did you have to do rookie responsibilities?
Season 2 of the Bull City’s Bravest Podcast launches tomorrow at 10AM on Spotify, YouTube, and Apple Podcasts!

After twenty-five years, the Durham Fire Department still remembers.
Several of our members participated in 9/11 memorial stair climbs in honor of the 2,977 lives lost, including 343 firefighters, on September 11th, 2001.
We are all taking a moment to remember them, their courage, and their sacrifice.
