Is getting excited over new bedding a designer thing or just a grownup thing? Either way, I'm loving this new .co bedding for a special upcoming project 🛏
And if you resonate with any of these, I’m so glad you found me!
Hear me out…
💡 Put blocking in for grab bars now even if you’re young and spry
đź’ˇ Opt for the good lighting, including LED in your toe kicks
💡 Put quad outlets at the bedside. Lamps, chargers, CPAP machine, fans for hot flashes, you never know, and a double won’t cut it
đź’ˇ Steam shower is worth the fuss
đź’ˇ The only thing that makes a room feel small is a small footprint. Go for the dark colors!
đź’ˇ Bidet seats are worth the fuss
💡 Sheetrock returns on your windows aren’t as cool as you think they are
đź’ˇ Wallpaper everything
And there's more where that came from. Let's talk.

I go to a lot of industry events every year, and not all of them are about sourcing product.
Some of the best ones have given me industry connections, opportunities, even a brand partnership I never saw coming, all from a single conversation in the right room. Read the full story on my latest blog. Link here: https://graudesign.studio/2026/09/17/reasons-i-prioritize-industry-events/
Tile doesn’t get enough credit for how much planning goes into it. A few favorites from some of our projects, one lay pattern at a time.
A lot of my job is making sure you never know there was a problem. What you notice at the end is that the room works.
Anyway. The plants needed water.

My version of “fall decorating” is just choosing things I’d want in the room all year.
Warm wood. Leather. A good plaid. Upholstery with some texture to it. All the stuff that feels especially good this time of year without needing to get packed away in January.
A few favorites from our projects.

Architect, contractor, interior designer. Do you need all three?
Maybe. Maybe not.
Swipe for the breakdown. And if you still don’t know who to call first, ask me. This is a much easier question to answer at the beginning of a project.

A two-inch sample can only tell you so much.
You want to see the cabinet door next to the stone, try the hardware, pull a fabric over and look at all of it in a real room. Preferably more than once.
That’s why the studio isn’t set up like a wall of samples. We have those too, obviously. But we also have working kitchens, cabinetry, plumbing, lighting and finished spaces in completely different styles.

Every good party ends up in the kitchen. This one just so happens to have a wet bar in the dining room waiting for it
