🐾 Meet Paige! 🐾
We’re excited to introduce you to Paige, one of the friendly faces you’ll be getting to know as part of our team! You may hear her voice when you call us or see her alongside us during your pet’s in-home visits.
Paige brings over 4 years of veterinary experience to our team and has a special love for working breeds. She’s a proud pet mom to 4 shepherds, 2 cats, and a horse, so it’s safe to say animals are a pretty big part of her world! 🐕🐈🐴
Born and raised right here in Florida, Paige is excited to be able to care for pets and families in the community she calls home. She has a genuine passion for making pets feel comfortable, understood, and cared for, and we’re so happy to have her as part of our team.

🐾🌟 Pet of the Month: Tucker! 🌟🐾
Tucker is a 4-year-old Lab mix who recently welcomed us into his home for in-home X-rays, and he was the best boy from start to finish! 🩻✨
From patiently posing for his radiographs to soaking up plenty of love and praise along the way, Tucker made his appointment a breeze. His sweet personality and calm demeanor quickly won over our team.
Patients like Tucker are one of the many reasons we love providing veterinary care in the comfort of home. Seeing pets relaxed in their own environment makes all the difference—for them and for us! 🏡🐶
Congratulations, Tucker, on being our Pet of the Month! You definitely earned it! 💙🦴🎉

We will be closed this Friday, July 3rd, in observance of Independence Day. If you are in need of medications to help your pet manage any aversion to fireworks, please reach out to us as soon as possible so we can do our best to coordinate with you.
Did You Know?
More pets are reported lost on the 4th of July than any other day of the year. Here are some tips to help keep your pets safe and comfortable during the upcoming celebrations:
- If your pets are on any medications to help their aversion to fireworks, make sure to administer the first dose before the fireworks begin.
- Keep your pets' collars or harnesses on them with any identification tags throughout the weekend. If your pets are microchipped, ensure their microchip information is up-to-date.
- Keep your pets leashed while outside. Also keep them confined to a safe place inside to avoid them unexpectedly running out the door.
- Create a safe place in an internal room with no windows and play white noise or music to help drown out the noise of the fireworks.
- BBQs and parties can also create hazards for pets. Minimize feeding table scraps to avoid gastrointestinal upset over the long weekend.
We will be back on Monday July 6th at 9am. We hope you and your pets have a safe and fun-filled Independence Day!

☀️🐾 Hot Weather Safety Reminder 🐾☀️
Florida summers are dangerous for our pets. As temperatures rise, it's important to remember that heat-related illness can develop quickly—and become life-threatening.
🚫 Never leave your pet in a parked car, even for a few minutes. On an 85°F day, the temperature inside a vehicle can reach over 100°F in just 10 minutes.
🌡️ Watch for signs of heat stress:
• Excessive panting
• Drooling
• Lethargy
• Vomiting
• Weakness or collapse
🐾 Help keep your pets safe by:
✔️ Providing plenty of fresh water
✔️ Limiting exercise during the hottest parts of the day
✔️ Walking early in the morning or after sunset
✔️ Checking pavement temperatures before walks
✔️ Ensuring access to shade and air conditioning
Stay cool, stay hydrated, and enjoy a safe summer with your furry family members!

June is National Microchipping Month — the perfect reminder to make sure your pet has permanent identification that stays with them for life. 💙🐾
Collars and tags can fall off, but a microchip provides an extra layer of protection if your pet ever becomes lost.
✔️ Quick and simple placement
✔️ Permanent identification
✔️ Helps shelters and clinics contact you faster
✔️ Increases the chances of being reunited with your pet
At Pawsitively Pets In-Home Veterinary Care, we are able to place microchips during your pet’s in-home visit — making the process easy and low-stress from the comfort of home. 🏡
Pets with microchips are significantly more likely to make it back home to their families. Is your pet already microchipped? This month is also a great time to double-check that your registration and contact information are up to date! 📱

Muzzles are not a punishment — they’re a safety tool. 💙🐾
At Pawsitively Pets In-Home Veterinary Care, we highly encourage positive muzzle training for dogs of all personalities and sizes, but especially for our fearful or reactive patients.
A properly introduced muzzle can help:
✔️ Reduce stress during medical care
✔️ Keep pets, owners, and veterinary staff safe
✔️ Prevent bites caused by fear or pain
✔️ Make emergencies less overwhelming
✔️ Build confidence through positive training
The key is training before a stressful situation happens. A muzzle should be introduced slowly, positively, and paired with rewards like treats and praise. 🧀👏
Many loving, well-behaved dogs may still react when they’re scared, injured, or uncomfortable — and that’s okay. Muzzle training helps prepare everyone for those moments safely and compassionately.
Our goal is always low-stress, fear-free handling and helping pets feel as comfortable as possible during care. 🏡🐶
Let us know if you have any questions about how to best introduce muzzle training to your dog!
