Every Monday and Wednesday, the second graders dive into interactive Math Centers. The class rotates through three groups, two teacher-led and one independent, ensuring every student experiences each activity. Today, students practiced addition using manipulatives and ten frames with Mrs. Wiesel, they worked in math journals with Mrs. Berlin, and they learned independently on their iPads. These rotations help every child build a well-rounded understanding of key math concepts.

Every year before סוכות, the RPRY eighth graders have the incredible opportunity to build a סוכה at the Chaim V’Chesed guest house in New Brunswick for families who need to be at the hospital over יום טוב. The סוכה is available to both doctors and families, giving those who must spend the חג at the hospital the ability to comfortably fulfill the מצוה of eating in a סוכה without having to worry about how they will do so. It is a truly meaningful opportunity for our students to give back and make a difference for families during what can be a challenging and stressful time.
We had a great week here in RPRY!

Last night, RPRY ran a new program, a beautiful התחלת גמרא event for 6B.
Speakers were brought in to convey how special the wonderful gift and opportunity of learning גמרא is, and how fortunate they are to be embarking on this journey. After a nice buffet dinner, each boy received their very own new, pristine גמרא, which they will now be delving into. The night was rounded off with lively dancing in honor of this special שמחה.
אשריכם!
The event was sponsored
L'ilui Nishmat Bracha Leba bat Chaim Tzvi HaKohen.

Peek into the 5G classroom and you'll find a group of RPRY girls hard at work, filling their days with learning.
Chumash class finds them amidst our nation's history, as they learn the פסוקים that tell the tale of Yosef Hatzadik in Mitzrayim.
They also delved into רש"י, who teaches the invaluable lesson of how important it is to honor our parents.
Rabbi Kramer spoke to the girls about שבת שובה. He explained how its name comes from the הפטרה, which begins with the words, "שובה ישראל"(Return Yisrael). This encourages us all to do תשובה.

Yesterday, our seniors had the opportunity to put decision-making into practice as they voted for and selected the 8th grade leadership jobs that they wanted. Today, they shifted from making choices about their own futures to exploring the personal stories and experiences of those who lived through the Holocaust, as we introduced our annual Names, Not Numbers® program.
Dr. Chaya Friedmann, the program director, met with 8G and 8B to explain the Names, Not Numbers® program before the official launch this Friday, and each student spent time thinking about something that they know about the Shoah.
RPRY is honored to share this important and life-changing program with our students.
Welcome to the program, seniors! We can't wait to see what you produce.

One of the the 13 attributes of Hashem is the middah of chesed. In an effort to emulate Hashem, and to start the year on the right foot, RPRY middle schoolers participated in a chesed project, making snack bags for the children of the community who will be in groups at their Shuls on Rosh Hashanah. Kol hakavod to them for doing this small act of kindness for our community shuls!
Thank you, RPRY!

A Day in the Life!
Last night, RPRY parents got to experience a day in the life of their RPRY children! The faculty and parent-body were brought together at Back to School Night, where the parents enjoyed the opportunity to hear from the teachers what their children are learning about, and to experience some of the schooling for themselves.
