If you're a registered Vote By Mail voter in Middlesex County, your ballot should be arriving any day now. If you're not enrolled, you probably received a Vote By Mail application instead.

Once you have your ballot, the easiest and most secure way to return it is by using the official ballot drop box at Borough Hall. No stamps, no post office, no worries.

Vote early and make a plan to return your ballot securely.

There is so much at stake in this year’s federal elections. We have a defining chance to unleash a blue wave, send a powerful message, and showcase the true strength of coming together and speaking to voters.

• Know-your-rights guidance.
• Ways to support local immigrant families and neighbors impacted by recent immigration enforcement.
• Opportunities to get involved and take action.

Fellow Democrats in Metuchen are currently working out details for how we can take further action on this issue. We will share more information soon.

Once again, a Metuchen family is facing a painful and destabilizing crisis after one of our neighbors was taken into custody by ICE at his workplace outside of Metuchen and is now being held at Delaney Hall in Newark. His wife and school-aged child have suddenly been left without him, confronting fear, uncertainty, and immediate financial needs.

Over the past 36 hours, we have been working alongside the family, legal aid organizations, legislative partners, and advocates to help secure legal assistance and provide support for food, transportation, and other essential expenses.

At the family’s request, we are limiting public details as they navigate this deeply painful time.

Situations like these are heartbreaking reminders of the devastating human impact of this administration’s immigration policies: a child with significant support needs suddenly separated from their father and a family’s life upended without warning. In too many cases, the process itself becomes the punishment.

On this July 4, 2026, we celebrate 250 years of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. And we look forward to doing our part to steer Metuchen to 250 more.

Vinita joining fellow Councilmember Joel Branch during Metuchen’s 6th annual Juneteenth celebration on the plaza. Nothing sounds better than honoring the equality of all Americans. Thanks to the Metuchen Downtown Alliance for putting together these celebrations for the community.

This Memorial Day, Chuck and Vinita join with the entire Metuchen community in remembering and honoring the heroes who gave their lives in service to our nation. We reflect with gratitude on their sacrifice and hold their families in our thoughts today.
