Fat Salmon Open Water Swim

Our Cascade Masters took on the annual Fat Salmon Open Water Swim on July 25th at Madison Park Beach on Lake Washington — a challenging 3.2-mile open water race!

A huge congratulations to Meredith Thompson for an incredible swim, winning the race overall, taking the top women’s finish, winning her age group, and bringing home the SALMON in the wetsuit division!

More standout finishes:
🏆 Shawn Jeffery — 1st in the 45–49 age group (wetsuit)
🥈 Caitlyn Motley — 2nd in the 35–39 age group (wetsuit)
👏 Coach Sam Sentenn — 5th in the 25–29 age group (no wetsuit)

6th Place | 2026 PN 12 & Under Long Course Championships

What a weekend for our 12 & Unders! From big personal bests to breakthrough swims, this team put together an incredible championship meet and earned a 6th-place team finish

Thomas Nguyen, Clay Harper, Drake Perry, and Audrey Loudon all had outstanding championship performances, while Christian Lee and Lily Sun dropped time in every individual event. Shoutout to Amali Gooze and Peter Hofman for competing at their first-ever championship meet, and to Anya Reckhow, our youngest Cascade swimmer to qualify for this year's championship meet!

With so many swimmers qualifying for championships this season, it was awesome to see our team show up and race so well. What a fun weekend! 💙❤️

2026 PN 13&O LC Championships

What an unforgettable four days of racing!

We kicked off the meet with an exciting swim-off, where Violet Perry won the 100 Freestyle swim-off to earn her spot in finals! The momentum continued all weekend with best times, finals qualifiers, first-time championship experiences, and teammates cheering each other on every step of the way.

Finals day Saturday brought an unexpected twist when the dive tank warm-up pool pump stopped working, sending everyone to warm up in the KCAC pirate ship pool. A championship memory we'll definitely never forget! 🏴‍☠️

Some team highlights from the weekend:
✨ Violet Perry won her 100 Freestyle swim-off and advanced to the final.
✨ Maya Sprinkling broke the one-minute barrier for the first time in the 100m Freestyle, swimming a best time 59.83 in finals.
✨ We celebrated first-time 13&O Championship qualifiers, team record breakers, winter Jr qualifiers, finals swims, best times, and incredible team support throughout the weekend.
✨ Whether this was your first 13&O Championships or your last, we're so proud of the determination, sportsmanship, and heart each of you brought to the meet.

It was also so special to welcome back Cascade alum Quinn Whorley from Colorado State University Swim & Dive. It was amazing having Quinn back on deck and racing alongside Cascade once again!

Two photos can't capture all the excitement from the 2026 PN OCA Last Chance Invitational at KCAC, but they do highlight an incredible weekend of racing!

Congratulations to all of our swimmers for an amazing meet filled with personal bests, Championship qualifying times, and outstanding performances!

Jaimie Sun (11 to 12) qualified for Champs in the 50 Butterfly with a 38.49 and the 100 Butterfly with a 1:30.34, while swimming personal bests in every event.

Finn Stetson qualified for Champs in the 50 Breaststroke with a 33.77.

Nash Bayne swam a personal best 26.45 in the 50 Butterfly, dropping 0.55 seconds from his previous best of 27.00 and breaking his own Cascade Swim Club team record once again! 🎉

A special shoutout to Owen Pike and Cassie Halter for swimming personal bests in every event.

These were just a few of the highlights from a weekend filled with time drops and great racing.

The 2026 PN Chinook Seattle Age Group Open was another incredible weekend of racing. With how busy summer gets with vacations, camps, work, and everything else, it was so great to see our swimmers enjoying one of Washington's most beloved summer meets.

A huge congratulations to Connor Wu and Annabella Nguyen on their Championship qualifying swims! 🎉

Connor Wu, in the 10 & Under age group, qualified in the 200 Freestyle with an amazing 3:10.79

Annabella Nguyen, in the 11 to 12 age group, qualified in the 200 Breaststroke for PNS with a fantastic 3:37.44
