Collage: Music in Bloom - SilverKite Online Workshops

Create a collage inspired by music depicting florals and greenery. As we listen to a few short musical selections, we'll explore the inner landscape and sensations they elicit through blossoming melodies and whimsical musical features. Using paper, magazine clippings, and simple materials from home, you'll arrange and layer images to create a collage that reflects your response to the music.

Supplies:

A few sheets of paper or cardstock for the final collage base
Old magazines, catalogs, scrap paper, wrapping paper, patterned paper, or origami paper
Scissors
Glue stick or liquid glue
Pen or pencil
Optional:

Colored pencils, markers, or crayons
Printed images of flowers, gardens, landscapes, or other nature scenes
Scraps of tissue paper, ribbon, or fabric for texture

Family trivia is designed with young people in mind – we suggest a youth participant on each team.

Get ready to be creative! We will have paint markers, metallic pens and gems to decorate rocks. Bedazzle a few to beautify your home or garden. Two to three rocks provided per person. Feel free to bring your own!

Do you need an art workspace? Do you have half-finished projects? Want to try something new? Would you like a bit of company while you finish your work? Join our community of adult artists and crafters. Bring your drawing, knitting, embroidery, watercolors, scrapbooking or any project you’d like to finish. We have tables and chairs. You bring your supplies, and we will share conversation and encouragement.
