July 2026: Public Safety by the Numbers 📊
In July, the Edmonds Police Department responded to 2,544 calls for service, completed 271 case reports, conducted 277 traffic stops, and made 95 arrests.
Officers also investigated collisions, thefts, domestic violence incidents, DUI cases, and other public safety concerns throughout our community.
These statistics provide one snapshot of the work happening each day as our team responds to calls, investigates crimes, supports victims, and works to keep Edmonds safe.

Help us find Ronald Olson. He’s 72 years old and walked away from the 9300 block of 244th ST SW. He’s wearing a UW hat and pull over. Also has a small black and white dog with him.
He has some memory care issues and we need to get him back home.
Call 911 if you’ve seen him.

The Edmonds Police Department invites community members to attend its upcoming Open House on Wednesday, July 22, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Edmonds Police Department, located at 250 5th Avenue North.
This family-friendly event is an opportunity for residents to meet Edmonds police officers and support staff, learn more about the department, and get an inside look at some of the resources and specialty units that serve the community. The Open House is designed to strengthen relationships between the Edmonds Police Department and the community through conversation, transparency, and connection.
Attendees will have the chance to view police vehicles and equipment, meet officers and staff, visit informational tables, and learn more about public safety programs, crime prevention, community engagement, and volunteer opportunities. Chief Dawkins and other members of the department will be on hand to provide demonstrations and interact with the community.
“Our Open House is a great opportunity for community members to meet the people behind the badge, ask questions, and learn more about the work being done every day to keep Edmonds safe,” Tabatha Shoemake, Community Engagement Coordinator.
Community members of all ages are welcome to attend. No registration is required.
