Summer Reading has arrived and the fun isn't just for kids!
Adults can also register to record their minutes read using the Beanstack app and let the rewards begin.
Just for registering, adults 18+ will earn a Plant a Seed, Read tote, a seed packet and peat pot, flower pen, bookmark, a free ice cream and lemonade while supplies last.
Readers will also qualify for weekly raffles and a finale prize!
Scan the QR code in the post to register or reach out to the Reference Desk staff at 310-524-2728. The Summer Reading Program is FREE to join and runs from June 15 to August 8.
Everyone is welcome to register for their age specific program.

Every artist draws inspiration from a unique vision. Renowned sculptor Eugene Daub brings American history to life through portraits, medals, and monuments. As Rosa Lowinger notes, history is how we are remembered—and Daub’s work gives it fresh meaning.

Counting down to 2 days left until Sculpting Through History with Eugene Daub: An American 250 Event!

Another wonderful creation by Eugene Daub is this portrait of Rosa Parks, which was unveiled by former president Barack Obama in 2013 in the National Statuary Hall in Washington, D.C. This piece was created with his partner and collaborator at the time, Rob Firmin.
