We LOVE having the extra hands on the farm, but even more than that, we love the community that gets built while working together. Getting outside, getting your hands dirty, accomplishing something as a team, and connecting with others is exactly what meaningful work at the farm is all about. 💚

This partnership is also especially close to home because Patrick McNamee serves on the Simple Promise Farms Board and continues to show up for our mission and the people we serve.

We’re excited to recognize Redstone at Family Hospital Systems as a sponsor of the 6th Annual Hot Sauce Hootenanny!

The Redstone Recovery Program fills an important role in the recovery continuum by providing hospital-level medical stabilization for people recovering from drug and alcohol use. Their goal is to help people safely stabilize while addressing both the physical and mental health challenges that can come with those first steps toward recovery.

Their model brings together medical care, behavioral health support, peer support, case management, and community partnerships. After stabilization, the Redstone team works to help develop a longer-term care plan and connect patients with trusted resources so that support doesn't end when they leave the hospital.

As part of Family Hospital Systems, Redstone is connected to a larger Central Texas healthcare network offering emergency care, primary care, mental health services, imaging, labs, and other medical services.

That connection between healthcare and recovery matters to us. Recovery doesn't happen in a vacuum, and having medical professionals, behavioral health providers, treatment programs, peer support, families, and community organizations working together can help people find the resources they need for the next step.

🚗💚 APPLICATIONS ARE OPEN: DRIVEN TOWARD RECOVERY CAR GIVEAWAY!
Last year, we saw firsthand how one reliable vehicle can change so much for a mother and her children. It can mean getting to work, making it to appointments, getting kids to school, showing up for recovery, and building greater independence.

At this year’s 6th Annual Hot Sauce Hootenanny, Simple Promise Farms hopes to put the keys in the hands of another single mother in recovery who is working hard to rebuild her life. ❤️

🌱 Who Can Apply?
We are looking for a single mother who:
🚗 Has at least 6 months of sobriety, with verification from a sponsor, program director, counselor, or recovery support leader
🚗 Is currently participating in or has completed a treatment, sober living, or recovery program
🚗 Is actively engaged in her recovery and community
🚗 Has a genuine need for reliable transportation
🚗 Has stable housing and the ability to obtain insurance and maintain the vehicle

📝 How to Apply
Send us:
1. Your Story
Tell us about your recovery journey, where you are today, and how having reliable transportation would impact you and your children. You may submit a written story of up to 500 words or a 3–5 minute video.
2. Your Qualifications
Include your length of sobriety, recovery/program involvement, community involvement, transportation needs, and anything else you would like us to know.
3. A Letter of Recommendation
Please include a letter from a sponsor, counselor, program director, or other recovery professional/support person who can speak to your journey.

We recently welcomed a litter of 4 adorable kittens to the farm - 3 boys and 1 girl. Before we even had a chance to introduce them, three of these sweet babies found their forever homes!

That leaves ONE little guy still looking for his family. ❤️

He’s a male, about 7 weeks old, socialized, and ready to head to his forever home. He’s been getting lots of attention here on the farm and is ready to trade farm life for a family of his own.
