Finding Joy By De-Funking Your Life;
Shedding
Taking the time to prepare your horse for his life in the human world makes all the difference! You can’t train for everything you’re going to encounter in life, but you can train for trust, communication and partnership, which puts you and your horse in a position where you can get through challenges as a team!
Shifting from seeking approval to serving the audience creates powerful connections. Whether in dressage or other endeavours, focus on eliciting emotion: fun, inspiration, laughter.

A beautiful article written by the amazing Leana Tank on what becomes possible when horses and humans are given the opportunity to heal, learn and grow together:

✨ "There's a big difference between submission and relaxation." – Patrick King
Ever wonder why your horse braces even when you're doing everything "right"? It might come down to something as simple as whether he's breathing.
Classical trainer Patrick King joins Rupert to unpack diagonal balance, the physiology of the half halt, and why speed is the enemy of balance — not the goal.
This is a conversation about the mechanics behind real feel, for anyone who wants to understand their horse a little more clearly.

Horses carry us, whether that's literally or figuratively. They take us on a journey and help us stay present.
Upcoming workshops with Rupert in The US & EU!
If you would like to participate in any of these or need more information, just drop it in the comments below or send us a message and we'll direct you to the right place!
Discover how to ride in a relaxed, stable manner, enabling true connection with your horse. Tensing muscles prevents feeling; true upper body control comes from a relaxed, stable foundation.
Even after difficult experiences, we can choose where to focus our attention. Acknowledge rising anxiety, feel your feet on the ground, and deliberately bring yourself back to a state of calm.
Horses teach us invaluable lessons. We can get advice from human mentors, whether they're still alive or we can access their knowledge through writing they've left behind, but nothing compares to the direct feedback we get from the horses while we work with them.
