Soon we will have a Zombie Run 5K. We may enlist the help of the Zombie Defense Initiative to ensure In 2011, there was an outbreak of zombies.
While
there were reports in outlying areas, it all seemed to culminate
in the downtown area. It became a public health issue. Things became so bad the Zombie Defense Initiative (ZDI) was
created to set up safe zones to protect the public. The biggest
safety zone perimeter was in Elgin, Illinois. By 11pm the zombie
threat had subsided and the public was safe
to leave the safety zone. Already, this year, there have been reports in the far North West
outlying areas of town. Mostly these have been on unincorporated
or farmer land and have been neutralized by citizens. Our plan is to have a safe zone where we can have a 5K race. We
will let you know when the registration page is up. Depending on
the zombie threat level, we may enlist the use of ZDI to ensure
a safe race.
