First United Methodist Church - Elgin

We were grateful to join fellow community leaders, neighbors, and faith leaders this weekend for Elgin’s CROP Hunger Walk. 💚

It was a beautiful, sunny 72° day, and we walked 2 miles along the Fox River Trail with our brothers and sisters, united by a shared commitment to addressing hunger in our community.

As a congregation, we’re proud to have raised more than $400 toward this important initiative. What makes this inniative even more meaningful is its local impact: a portion stays right here in Elgin, keeping the doors open at our soup kettles and food pantries so no one in our community goes without a warm meal.

It was a wonderful day and a meaningful reminder of what can happen when we come together, care for our neighbors, and make a difference right here at home 🤗

Today was Day 2 of our weekend celebration! ❤️

We loved worshiping with you, sharing a meal, and getting to know you. During Ask the Pastor, Pastor Felicia answered some big questions (and a few fun ones, too! 😉). We hope you’ll come back and ask more!

There’s always room at the table for more conversations, friendship, and you. Come back and see us next Sunday!

Here for GOD. Here for Good. Here for Elgin.

Today was about more than reopening our doors. It was about celebrating the people who helped us get here. ❤️

Thank you for your prayers, support, encouragement, and belief in First UMC Elgin — these past 18 months, today, and all the days ahead.

We’re so grateful to be here. And we’re so glad you’re part of the story.
