Topics of discussion will be how to market yourself in this tough business environment.

They'll be plenty of networking as well!

Wednesday, October 23rd
West Ridge Community Church
3300 Encounter Ln.
Elgin, IL 60124
6 to 7pm

A big THANK YOU to everyone who came out to Connect Cafe on Wednesday. It was another successful evening of people connecting, growing and strengthening.

The topic was 'Dealing with Difficult People'. Whether clients, employees, bosses or just those in our everyday life.

The one thing that stood out is it's important to understand where the difficult person is coming from. Maybe they are having a bad day, week or year while going through some personal or relational issues. We all endure tough seasons in our lives.

Being able to empathize with someone is key to being able to deal with their issues.

Also, thank you to Ray Ercoli at Edward Jones for being our Showcase Business. If you need financial advice, estate planning or anything else with regards to your monies, Ray is your guy!

Needed! Computer repair person / technician.

We have a mac that won't start, some sort of hard drive issue so looking to get the data recovered. Any suggestions?

Thank you for those that came out last night to our 3rd Connect Cafe! A special thank you to Samantha Snyder with LCB Floral Design for being our showcase business and providing her amazing floral designs.

The next Cafe is Wednesday,, September 25th @ West Ridge Church. If you are interested in being a showcase business or doing a Connecting Congregations podcast, reach out. Hope to see you there!

I had someone challenge me to develop an 'elevator speech' for Connecting Congregations. Basically, you have 30 seconds to explain to someone about what you do or what your business is. It should be simple and potentially invoke more conversation and questions.

'‘Connecting Congregations is about building a business and support community with a foundation of faith. When we put God first in our professional pursuits, we find our true purpose, fulfillment and, ultimately success in our work life.”

What is your elevator speech?
