We may still be new in the industry when it comes to fume hoods, but we can come across some great opportunities to show what what we can do.

Pictured is a floor-mounted fume hood for an energy producer. One of our firsts and it won't be out last.

Laboratory Furniture Cleaning Requirements: How Your Cleaning Regimen Affects Material Selection 08/21/2026

It's one thing to have your furniture be chemically resistant - tested against a set of certain chlorides and solvents to see how it will hold up.

And then it's a another on how it will handle the cleaning routine -and sometimes that gets missed.

This week’s guide is built around that theme including three variables that shape whether a cabinet finish outlasts the equipment: what you’re cleaning with, how often, and how the chemistry reaches the furniture.

We also feature a downable guide to help bring into your next meeting to provide you with a starting point of how to pick the right furniture to not only handle the tests but the cleaning as well.

Read the guide:

Laboratory Furniture Cleaning Requirements: How Your Cleaning Regimen Affects Material Selection On many labs, the biggest source of finish wear isn't the work being performed on the bench — it's the disinfectant being applied to every surface in the room. Here's how cleaning chemistry, frequency, and exposure method belong in the casework and countertop specification, with a downloadable pre...

Lab Redesign: When to Reconfigure, Renovate, or Relocate 08/07/2026

Most lab redesigns don't start with a broken system. They start with a lab manager watching centrifuges live on a rolling cart because the casework run underneath doesn't fit anymore and finally saying out loud what the whole team has been thinking: this isn't the same lab we designed.

The our lastest guide walks lab managers through the five signals a design has been outgrown, the four changes that most often cause it, and the reconfigure-renovate-relocate decision framework.

Written for the person who has to defend the decision to a director or CFO.

Lab Redesign: When to Reconfigure, Renovate, or Relocate Lab redesign guide for lab managers — the five signals your lab has outgrown its design, the four drivers behind it, and how to choose between reconfigure, renovate, and relocate.

Sometimes to figure out the problem, you have to get "in" it...literally.

At OnePointe Solutions, when it comes to manufacturing our line of fume hoods, the care is in the details.

Because it's one thing to make a product but it'd another to test and vet thoroughly. That's what makes a difference.

School & Classroom Lab Cabinets: Durability That Lasts 07/21/2026

Classroom cabinets take a different kind of beating than research labs.

Think slammed doors, overloaded backpacks, wet hands, marker stains, and hundreds of students using them every day. The materials and hardware that perform well in a research environment aren't always the best choice for K–12 classrooms.

Our latest guide breaks down what actually holds up to years of student use covering cabinet materials, surface finishes, hardware, durability, and other key considerations to help schools get the most from their investment.

Because classroom furniture should be built for how students really use it.

HR said "team building." We heard "competitive puzzle championship."

Last week our estimating team along with marketing embarked on a team building event that truly shows what a group is made up of...an escape room.
The puzzles and twists were no match, with 6 min left to spare, they successfully escaped, with bragging rights to back it up.

It was the only deadline they wanted to beat that day!

Battery Testing Lab 07/02/2026

Designing a battery testing lab is not the same as designing a chemistry lab. UL 9540A, NFPA 855, IEC 62133, and UN 38.3 each shape the room before you ever pick a bench.

In our latest guide, we go through what drives layout: explosion-rated chambers, 25% LFL gas detection thresholds, cell-to-module setbacks, and the casework choices that survive electrolyte exposure.

Battery Testing Lab Designing a battery testing lab is a containment problem, not a benchroom problem. This 2026 guide walks specifiers, lab managers, and project architects through what a battery testing lab actually needs: NFPA 855:2026 separation rules, UL 9540A four-level test layout, the 25% LFL ventilation thresh...

How to Design an Environmental Testing Lab 06/26/2026

Designing an environmental testing lab means designing for the audit. SEFA 8 casework, ANSI Z9.5 fume hoods, segregated ICP-MS clean rooms, and chain-of-custody storage all have to be visible to an assessor quickly and easily.

Our 2026 guide breaks down the accreditation stack TNI, NELAP, ISO 17025 and the specific bench, hood, and ventilation decisions.

How to Design an Environmental Testing Lab An environmental testing lab carries accreditation burdens research labs rarely face. This guide walks specifiers, lab managers, and project architects through what an environmental testing lab actually needs in 2026: the TNI 2026 / NELAP / ISO 17025 stack, EPA Method 200.8 bench layout, ASHRAE-comp...

Lab Furniture Lead Times: The Best Time to Buy 06/24/2026

"Off the shelf" is the wrong mentality to have when it comes to lab furniture. SEFA-grade cabinet, hood, and worktop are built to order in a manufacturer-owned plant and the calendar drives the lead time.

Our new guide walks the procurement from personal experience: why summer is not a free for all (academic FY-start + federal Q4 collide), why Q1 is ideal, and what quick-ship really means when a manufacturer offers it. Order in the previous quarter, lock the lead time, and breathe just a little better. Because we all know in construction, nothing goes just as planned.

Read the full guide:

Lab Furniture Lead Times: The Best Time to Buy There is no off-the-shelf lab furniture. Every SEFA-grade cabinet, hood, and worktop is custom-built in a manufacturer-owned plant, and the calendar drives the lead time. Q1 is the best window, summer is the worst (academic FY-start and federal Q4 obligation collide), and the previous-quarter rule c...
