Healthy communities start with prevention:

During Chronic Disease Awareness Month, we're recognizing the important connection between HIV prevention and chronic disease prevention. Whether it's promoting routine HIV testing, connecting clients to PrEP, encouraging blood pressure screenings, or supporting healthy lifestyle choices, every conversation helps improve long-term health outcomes.

How is your organization integrating HIV prevention and chronic disease prevention into your work? Tell us in the comments. Need support? Submit a CBA request to access NCTSTA's tailored training and technical assistance.

One conversation. One screening. One connection to care!

On World Hepatitis Day, we recognize the value of integrated strategies that support HIV prevention, viral hepatitis awareness, and whole-person health. By expanding access to education, testing, and care, public health programs and community-based organizations can help build healthier communities.

What resource or strategy has helped your organization strengthen its integrated prevention efforts? Share it in the comments so others in the field can learn from your experience.

Advancing Motivational Interviewing skills to strengthen HIV Prevention and Care.

In June, Project REACH facilitated a Motivational Interviewing (MI) training called "Next-Level MI in HIV Prevention and Care: Elevating Client Encounters and Driving Behavioral Change Results" for the Northeast/Caribbean AIDS Education and Training Center (NECA AETC) in Newark, NJ. This training provided attendees with opportunities to strengthen their MI techniques, enhance client communication, and explore strategies for supporting meaningful behavior change in HIV prevention.

Thank you to everyone who participated and contributed to a collaborative learning experience.

Interested in strengthening your organization's MI skills? Submit a Capacity Building Assistance (CBA) request to bring this type of training to your organization.
