Visions in Motion (VIM) is an adult day program for persons affected by developmental delays. The program provides each client with experiences that will enhance their overall health, self-worth and self-esteem. Our environment encourages personal growth with a focus on communication, education, recreation, fitness, health and wellness. VIM is an Elk Grove based corporation that provides a personalized and comprehensive Adult Day Program for developmentally disabled individuals 18 - 70 years old. We maintain a 1 to 4 ratio and operate under service code 510. Our mission: To provide a safe, nurturing and supportive environment that focuses on improving the overall health, well-being and independent living skills of the individuals we serve. What Are Some of the Program Highlights? Our program establishes integrated plans of care that enables the client to participate in daily activities that maximizes their unique abilities and skills. Fitness plans, healthy living skills, cooking, gardening, volunteerism, community involvement and outings, academics, and social enrichment are just some of the activities included in our program!

Today, we were honored to welcome members of the California Department of Developmental Services to Visions in Motion!
Our guests jumped right in and became part of the VIM experience—joining our clients for our Dance Fitness Class and lending a hand as we planted our fall garden. 🌱🍂 They also had the opportunity to see our clients participating in their Independent Living Skills classes and experience firsthand some of the learning, growth, and fun that happens at VIM every day.
We are so grateful they took the time to visit, participate, and get to know our program and the amazing individuals we serve.
It was a wonderful experience for everyone, and we can’t wait to welcome them back again!

We had a wonderful time celebrating National Direct Service Professionals week! A big thank you to Ms Julie B for your 10 YEARS of service! Lots of laughs, memories and good food. Thank you for making VIM such an amazing place to be every single day. We got to celebrate/see most of our staff this week except one who was in Southern California.

We want to give a heartfelt shout‑out to the entire Cosumnes CSD Board of Directors for your continued support of the special needs community in Elk Grove and beyond. We are truly grateful for the recent Board Discretionary Fund award, our entire team felt deeply seen and appreciated.
At VIM, we’re proud to offer a wide range of fitness activities while also strengthening independent living skills such as financial management, critical thinking, reading, writing, active listening, and social development. Thanks to your generosity, we were able to purchase the curriculum featured in these photos ~ materials our staff has already begun to use in creative, meaningful ways to support each client’s growth.
Support like yours is what allows us to keep building opportunities that bring our community together, including moments like our upcoming Walk‑A‑Thon, where clients, families, caregivers, businesses and public leaders can celebrate movement, inclusion, and connection.
