The ONE Research Foundation is on a mission to use science to advance healthcare. We support research that explores the relationship between our mind and body. By investigating these connections, we hope to contribute to a more holistic understanding of health, one that recognizes the human organism as an integrated whole.

In a Randomized Controlled Trial at the Department of Integrative Medicine and Nutritional Sciences, Marcus Institute of Integrative Health, Thomas Jefferson University, study results demonstrated brain functional connectivity changes on fMRI in patients with chronic pelvic pain treated with NET. Imaging revealed a decrease in connectivity in key regions of the brain involved in pain processing and emotional regulation, including the amygdala, cerebellum, and post central gyrus.

A recent study funded by ONE Research Foundation on Chronic Low Back Pain (CLBP) found NET effective in reducing CLBP. This study is the first and only Chiropractic randomized control trial (RCT) publication on all three facets of wellness in CLBP sufferers: physical, emotional, and chemical. The study objective was to determine the effect of NET on CLBP patients at various times of measurement following treatment.

Pain doesn’t just happen at the site of pain but also in your neurology and physiology. Through both qualitative and quantitative measures, the intervention of NET has produced physiological and emotional changes, essentially changing the way the brain communicates with itself regarding pain. ONE’s research aims to understand the efficacy of NET as a form of treatment to address a range of conditions.

When exposed to stimuli in our environment, we can develop both positive and negative conditioned responses in our mental and physical states. Research shows that emotional stress can impact not only our mental state, but create chronic conditions in our physical bodies. Neuro Emotional Technique (NET) is a non-invasive approach to address emotional stressors that impact a person’s mental and physical health.

Neuro Emotional Technique (NET) is a non-invasive approach to address emotional stressors that impact a person’s mental and physical health. NET is a unique modality practiced by licensed mind practitioners and body practitioners. ONE’s research aims to understand the efficacy of NET as a form of treatment to address a range of conditions.

Neuro Emotional Technique (NET) is based on the concept that unresolved emotional trauma is stored in the body. Emotions such as excessive, unresolved anger, grief or fear may affect people long after they have forgotten the cause. Since emotional reality dramatically affects health, using NET to identify and release negatively charged emotions (Neuro Emotional Complexes) allows for normalization of abnormal physical and behavioral patterns. ONE’s research aims to understand the efficacy of NET as a form of treatment to address a range of conditions.

ONE’s landmark study in 2017 revealed the importance of the cerebellum in regulating the brain and the body’s response to traumatic stress. After NET, regions of the brain communicate with one another differently, highlighting the intimate relationship between emotional regulation and pain perception.
