We host one of only six playoff events on the NHRA professional tour and have the best in NHRDA, ADRL, Super Chevy Show, Fun Ford Weekend, Mega Mopar Action, bracket racing and family-fun entertainment fuel by adrenaline!

We are excited to welcome The World Series Of Pro Mod to the Historic Texas Motorplex in 2027!
Everything’s BIGGER in Texas.
The World Series of Pro Mod, one of the most prestigious events on the drag racing calendar, will move to the historic Texas Motorplex in 2027. The event is scheduled for March 5-7, 2027, bringing the high-powered Pro Mod spectacle to one of drag racing’s most iconic venues.

Forty years ago tonight, the lights came on for the first time.
November 1985, Billy Meyer shook hands on an NHRA national event before there was even dirt to break.
January ’86, we poured the first post-tension, all-concrete quarter-mile ever built for drag racing.
Then, on July 30, 1986, the supertrack took its first baby steps.
An invitational night race. Fresh concrete. Half the lines weren’t even painted. Just a handful of racers pointing high-horsepower machines down a surface nobody had ever run.
Forty years later, that unfinished strip became The Historic Texas Motorplex. Where Speed Was Born. Cemented in History.
Records have fallen. Legends have been made. Millions of fans have walked through these gates.
And we’re still just getting warmed up.
