At Runnin Free Ranch, we are grateful for every person who helps us sow seeds of hope, healing, and freedom into the lives of those we serve. Together, we are making room for God to grow something greater than we could do alone.

Mental health is in the headlines every day. And we want to MAKE ROOM for those who are in desperate need of help and support.
Behind the headlines are real people—children carrying trauma, veterans and first responders living with what they have seen, and adults struggling with grief, fear, anger, anxiety, or relationships.
At Runnin’ Free Ranch, counseling is offered on a sliding scale, and our team works with people who are ready to begin the hard work of healing and learning healthier ways forward.
Over the next several weeks, we’ll show you more of what that work looks like, why equine-assisted counseling can reach people differently, and why expanding access matters.
Because when someone becomes ready for help, there needs to be a place for them to receive it.
That is the heart behind Make Room.

Sometimes, making room means trusting God with what comes next.
At our Make Room gathering, Kristy Patterson shared a beautiful reminder of what can happen when we create space for God to move. What began as something she could never have imagined became a testimony to His faithfulness and His bigger plans.

It was an honor to host the Truth Seekers Co-op group at the Ranch for a meaningful session!

Together, we worked through the TRAIL outline, focusing on trust, respect, assertiveness, interpersonal skills, and life skills. We are grateful for opportunities to create a space where individuals can grow, connect, and take their next steps toward life, hope, and freedom.

What a blessing to welcome Tabernacle Baptist Church - Ennis TX back to Runnin’ Free Ranch for their Impact Week!

For the fourth year in a row, they have chosen to serve at the Ranch, taking on projects that make a real difference for the clients and families who come here each week.

From trimming trees and caring for our grounds, to grooming horses and helping create a larger, more accessible sidewalk and waiting area—each project helps us provide a safe, welcoming place where healing can happen.

We are so grateful for the time, hard work, and love they continue to pour into Runnin’ Free Ranch. This is the Church in action—showing up, serving others, and putting love into action in very practical ways.

Thank you, Tabernacle Baptist Church. You are a blessing to our Ranch and to every person who walks through our gates. 💙🐴

Even in the moments when we feel weak, overwhelmed, or like we can’t make it through, we can trust in the Lord. His grace is sufficient for us, and His strength meets us in our weakness. We don’t have to carry it all on our own!

Y’all may have noticed we’ve been talking A LOT about Making Room lately… and there’s a reason!
On September 19th, we officially kicked off our Making Room campaign, and what a night it was!
Our message was simple: we need to make room for the families and individuals who are waiting for the opportunity to experience hope and healing at Runnin’ Free Ranch.
That message resonated in such a beautiful way. We left the evening with new partnerships, deeper understanding, meaningful conversations, and so much excitement about what’s ahead.
This is bigger than one event. It’s about opening doors, creating opportunities, and making room for more people who are waiting.
