WE FOUND SOMETHING... 🐦‍⬛📖🔮🌙🌿

While going through some of my mother’s belongings, I came across something I had never seen before.

A book...📖

Not a diary.
Not a cookbook.
Not a family album.

A very old, very heavy, beautifully bound book...

Covered in worn leather, strange symbols, plants, creatures, celestial markings and alchemical imagery.

Stamped into the cover were the words...

THE UNBALANCED ALCHEMY GRIMOIRE 🌙

I had no idea where it came from.
I had never seen it before.
And I certainly don’t remember my mother ever mentioning it...

So naturally...

I opened it... The first page reads:

“WHERE SCIENCE AND MAGIC COMBINE...”

And suddenly, the name made sense.

Inside are hundreds upon hundreds of pages devoted to creatures of the natural world, poisonous plants, herbs, gemstones, crystals, old remedies, alchemy, folklore, symbolism, celestial observations...

and things I haven’t even begun to understand yet.

Some pages read almost like an old scientific reference book.

Others move into folklore, superstition, symbolism and magic.

And somehow...

it all belongs together... 🐦‍⬛📖🔮🌙🌿

Science and magic.
Fact and folklore.
The natural and the unexplained.
Light and darkness.

Alchemy... Unbalanced Alchemy 🐦‍⬛📖🔮🌙🌿

Because when you combine

Science & Magic...

You NEVER know what you will get...

I’ve only begun turning the pages...

And as I do, I think I’m going to share some of what I find with you...

A FEW PAGES AT A TIME. 🐦‍⬛📖🔮🌙🌿

But we’ll start at the beginning.

If you’d like the FIRST PAGE from
THE UNBALANCED ALCHEMY GRIMOIRE...

comment the words:

UNBALANCED ALCHEMY

In the comments below,
and I’ll send you the first page. 🐦‍⬛📖🔮🌙🌿

Keep them.

FREE DOWNLOAD! They fit in a 4"x6" frame! 🖼️

Create a gallery wall above your altar...
Use them in journals, scrapbooks and spell books...
Turn them into cards, tags, collages or shadow boxes...
Decoupage them onto boxes, trays or curiosities...
Or simply tuck them away somewhere special.

However you choose to use them,
let each page become a little piece of
THE UNBALANCED ALCHEMY GRIMOIRE
that belongs to you... 🐦‍⬛📖🔮🌙🌿

a few pages at a time...

THE UNBALANCED ALCHEMY GRIMOIRE
Where Science and Magic Combine...🐦‍⬛📖🔮🌙🌿

The book has only just been opened...📖

But there is one thing you should know before we go any further...

THIS BOOK ONLY MATTERS...

IF YOU BELIEVE! 🐦‍⬛📖🔮🌙🌿

Thank You all so much!
Unbalanced Alchemy was born from the DARKEST period of my life...🖤
KARMA is a bitch...

I just want to take a moment to say how truly GRATEFUL I am for you all... ✨❤️✨⭐🌙

This weekend was AMAZING!

Seeing so many of you walk through the doors, explore the shop, laugh, shop, discover things, and simply enjoy this strange and wonderful little world I’ve created meant more to me than I can possibly explain.

Some of you have been with me for OVER 8 years...

You’ve watched this business grow and change. You’ve watched me grow and change.

And you’ve stayed with me through the good times, the difficult times, the crazy ideas, the reinventions, the setbacks, the rebuilding… and through some of the darkest chapters of my life...

Including cancer...
The loss of my mother...
Choosing peace over toxic family members...

There were times when I honestly didn’t know what the next chapter was going to look like...

But I kept going...

And so many of you kept showing up,

You shopped...
You shared my posts...
You told your friends...
You encouraged me...
You walked through those doors again and again...

And because of you, I was able to keep creating...

Vintage Wonderland has never been just a store to me,
It was part of me...

I’ve poured my heart, soul, imagination, and probably a little bit of insanity into every room, every display, every treasure, and every tiny detail...

I wanted to create a place where, even for a little while, you could step outside of ordinary life...
And escape reality...

A place to discover...
A place to escape...
A place to remember...
A place to feel a little wonder again...

And thats how I created Unbalanced Alchemy,

Unbalanced Alchemy grew out of one of the darkest periods of my life...
When EVERYTHING was taken from me...

In a way, it became my own alchemy.

Taking pain and creating something from it...
Taking a bad situation and finding purpose in it...
Taking darkness… and somehow turning it into light...

That doesn’t mean pretending the darkness never existed,

Because life isn’t only light...
There are moments of joy and sorrow...
Happiness and anger...
Hope and fear...
Beauty and pain...
Light & Darkness...

There is a little of both inside every one of us.

And I’ve come to realize that Vintage Wonderland and Unbalanced Alchemy represent those two sides of me,

Maybe they represent both sides of all of us...

Vintage Wonderland is the wonder, nostalgia, beauty, imagination and light...

Unbalanced Alchemy embraces the mystery, the shadows, the transformation and the dark things we survive...

Neither one cancels out the other,

Together, they tell the whole story...

And perhaps that has been the greatest lesson of these last few years:

You don’t have to wait for every dark moment to disappear before you allow yourself to see the light.

Sometimes you create the light from what you’ve been given...

You transform it...
You keep going...
You never give up...

So to every person who has supported me, supported this business, believed in one of my crazy ideas, or simply walked through my doors over these past 8+ years…

THANK YOU... ✨❤️✨⭐🌙

You have helped keep this dream alive...

And I will never stop being GRATEFUL for that...

There are moments of joy and sorrow, happiness and anger, light & darkness...

I understand that I am both...

I chose to see the good...

Love & Light...
Jared ❤️
