Fun fact - Kailayne Jensen just won the Women’s World Champion title in Men’s Fancy Dance in Oklahoma last week!

Please join us next Tuesday, August 4, at 5:30 PM for a special Welcome Dinner & Craft Night at the LCC Longhouse.

This month, we’re honored to welcome World Champion Hoop Dancers Kailayne, Tyrese, and Lane Jensen for a special hoop dance demonstration, followed by a delicious catered dinner from Caddo Woman Catering.

This collaborative gathering is hosted by Native Youth Wellness, Springfield Public Library & Museum, UO Sapsik’wałá Education Program, LCC Longhouse, UO Many Nations Longhouse & Homeflight Program, and Comunidad y Herencia Cultural.

As this event is serving as our August Culture Night, if you’re able, please bring a craft to work on! We’ll also have some beading supplies available.

We hope you’ll join us for an evening of culture, creativity, delicious food, and connection. We can’t wait to see you there! 🪶💚

Our ancestors dreamed of us, and today we celebrate the brilliance, resilience, and accomplishments of our youth as they take their next steps forward.

Join us for our Native Graduation/Promotion Honor Dinner on June 30 at 5:30 PM at the LCC Longhouse as we recognize and uplift our students and their families.

Behind our First Foods Feast Ceremony is a team rooted in culture, community, and care. From preparing traditional foods to creating healing-centered spaces for youth and families, each person brings their own gifts and teachings into this work. 🪶

At Native Youth Wellness, we believe Culture is Prevention and Culture is Medicine. This feast is more than a meal, it’s our love for the community, remembrance, and ceremony.
