Bright Parade 2026 was such an amazing experience! It was so inspiring to see all the incredible parade entries and experience all the community excitement and support! The whale floats were made by Jayme Vineyard, Gery Spetzler, and Kerry Weeks. A big thanks to Lane Arts Council for the grant that helped make this all possible!

In this hands-on workshop, you’ll discover the simple, satisfying art of making your own herbal salves from scratch. We’ll start with the basics—choosing quality oils, beeswax, and dried or fresh herbs—and guide you through the gentle process of infusing, straining, and blending everything into a smooth, skin-nourishing salve. You’ll learn about the properties of common healing herbs like calendula, plantain, and lavender, and how to customize your recipe for dry skin, minor cuts, aches and pains, or everyday soothing. Along the way, we’ll touch on the folk magic of herbal preparations—how intention, seasonality, and simple ritual can turn a jar of salve into something more meaningful. You’ll leave with your own tin of finished salve and the confidence to keep making it at home. No experience needed!

You’ll learn about the medicinal properties of each ingredient, how to customize your brew for your own needs, and the simple art of steeping and straining for maximum potency. Last Friday Art Walk is going to be a blast this month! This will be our last one of the year so we are going big! We will have Little Taste from Heaven there, a vendor market with lots of amazing works for sale, a Greatful Dead cover band “Token and Friends”, and will be showing work for 2 amazing artists Nicole Farley Outsider Artist and Marlis Badalish Marlis Marlis
