For more than twenty years, she made it her passion and let it feed her soul but, always felt like she was tethered to the corporate world. Finally, after much planning, she made the decision to make sewing her life's work and leave the corporate world behind. Crystal has been a member of the Society of Creative Anachronism since 1998. A non-profit organization committed to the research and re-creation of pre-16th century Europe (and its trade-partners). As such, she discovered a passion for historical garments and textiles. This historical passion extends right up through the mid-20th century and those influences can be seen in many of her modern creations.
