We would like to invite our active members to a free, after-hours evening of science (and space!) exploration on Thursday, October 8th. Celebrate World Space Week with other Eugene Science Center members.

Mark your calandar for Tot Discovery Day: Pumpkin Palooza! Explore the parts of a pumpkin with a pumpkin dissection, practice dexterity and pattern recognition through hands-on activities, try building a bridge that can hold the weight of a pumpkin, and help make pumpkin seed snacks. For children ages 1-4 and their grown ups.

Thanks to Oakshire Brewing for supporting science education on Wednesday, October 7th. $1 from every draft sold 5pm-8pm will be donated to Eugene Science Center. Stop by our table to say Hi, as you bid farewell to a wonderful brewery!

Eugene Science Center is teaming up with Code Ninjas Eugene for a unique 21+ Adult night. Science Uncensored: Crime Lab will include all of the usual elements: Drinks, Dessert, Exhibit Hall, Laser Show....but with a mystery to solve! Practice your sleuthing skills with forensic science. (You may never watch those crime shows the same way again!). Space is limited so purchase your tickets online at https://eugenesciencecenter.org/event/science-uncensored-crime-lab/. All proceeds support STEM education at both Eugene Science Center and Code Ninjas.

October's Member Show: Phantom of the Universe is not a ghost story! This planetarium show explores one of the biggest mysteries in astronomy: the hunt for dark matter. In a journey across space and time, discover the compelling evidence that dark matter must exist and learn how scientists are using some of the most advanced instruments ever built in attempt to discover what it is made of.

Walk the Planets is a great way to celebrate and !
Start your journey through space with a live planetarium show at Eugene Science Center. Then, discover more about our sun and its planets with a guided, interpretative walk beginning with our solar system’s second closest star, Proxima Centauri, and its exoplanet, Proxima b.
