Red Panda Network (RPN) is deeply saddened by the tragic loss of life and destruction following the recent flash floods in the central Nepal which is also home to red pandas.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the affected families, communities, and institutions during this incredibly difficult time. RPN stands in full solidarity with the people and the Government of Nepal. We are working closely with Social Welfare Council to explore ways to support the affected communities.

RPN sincerely thank our supporters for your kind concern, thoughts and prayers for the safety and well-being of our staff and communities we work with. All RPN staff members are safe, but close relatives of two of our staff members remain out of contact in the disaster-affected areas. We remain deeply concerned for their safety and hope they are found safe.

RPN is committed to supporting the Government of Nepal and communities in every way possible, including recovery efforts, access to education for children, and livelihood support.

Most people will never know what 48 kilometres asks of you.
