Red Cloud

Red Cloud started life in 2011, when frontman Aaron Williams performed a set of songs at the late & legendary Ash Street Saloon in Portland, Oregon. Eventually planting roots further south in Eugene, Red Cloud soon gained a reputation and enthusiastic following in the Pacific Northwest at large. Whether playing storied Oregon venues or taking to the road, Red Cloud shows are legendary for their incredibly good vibes. Casual listeners inevitably become believers for one simple reason: the music makes them feel so damned good. Opening for such luminaries of the scene as King Buzzo, Witch Mountain, Yob, Black Cobra, Jucifer, Hobosexual, Mos Generator, Ancient Warlocks, Tigers on O***m and Year of the Cobra, Red Cloud has completed five Northwest tours and played several festivals over the past handful of years. Their name an homage to the Lakota Chief Red Cloud, the band explores our relationship to nature, one another, and ourselves. With one eye on history and the other looking forward to the future, song lyrics delight in introspective travel, rally for freedom from personal enslavement, and take us on incredible Jules Verne-inspired journeys into the heart of the Earth. "Eugene, Oregon’s Red Cloud breathe fresh, Cascadian air into the smoldering, arid lungs of desert rock, blooming epic, driving riffs in the vein of Kyuss or early Queens of the Stone Age" - The Seattle Passive Aggressive (www.theseattlepa.com)

"Red Cloud has this refreshing sound that gives them this overwhelming listen-ability. There are stoner rock and psychedelic elements in there but they have so much more to offer that you can’t really classify them with a few measly words. The band showcases several different styles throughout the 8 tracks on the album. The final song “Sick Eagle” is probably my favorite song on the LP. It has these heavy chugging riffs and then the high pitched psychedelic guitar play as well that just brings a smile to my face. The guitar parts by Aaron Williams and Dennis Medina are a tremendous high point to this album, but they also don’t overdo it. I like to refer to it as the “no bu****it riffs”, they get in there shred through the job they’ve came to do and call it a day." - Metal Nexus (http://metalnexus.net/editors-25-best-albums-of-2016/)
