Pretty Present

🍂🧡 𝗠𝘆 𝗙𝗮𝗶𝗿 & 𝗙𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗟𝗮𝗱𝘆

Two things I love came together for this gift-wrapped present: fall and the Renaissance.

The entire design was inspired by the beautiful Renaissance artwork featured on the handmade gift tag I created.

I pulled from its rich, warm colors when choosing the paper, burnt-orange double sided silk ribbon and vintage embellishments I have held onto for years.

𝗘𝗔𝗦𝗬 𝗚𝗜𝗙𝗧 𝗪𝗥𝗔𝗣𝗣𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗧𝗜𝗣:
Want to create your own artwork-inspired gift tag?

𝟭. Find a piece of artwork you love that is available for reuse.

𝟮. Pull colors from the artwork to coordinate your paper, ribbon and embellishments.

𝟯. Resize and print the artwork on sturdy card stock of choice. Then trim it and add it to your present as a custom gift tag.

It is such a simple way to turn a favorite work of art into a delicate, elegant and completely unique gift-wrapped present.

🍁 🌿 𝗖𝗮𝗻'𝘁 𝗚𝗲𝘁 𝗘𝗻𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗢𝗳 𝗖𝗼𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗿

𝗢𝗼𝗼! ✨
I'm really into these golden pinks. With this copper Kraft styled gift wrapping paper. It's like a richer, and deeper version pink. It's super versatile and goes with so many things.

This here gift has a little touch of nature with two real leaves I picked up. Even though they took their sweet time drying out. Hee hee!

There's just one little challenge with using real dried leaves; they're very delicate.

It took me four tries to get this embellishment just right, but you know what? I'm glad I stuck with it.

There's something truly special about incorporating real items into gift wrapping. The look, style, and tactile experience are well worth the effort.

𝗨𝗦𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗗𝗥𝗜𝗘𝗗 𝗟𝗘𝗔𝗩𝗘𝗦 𝗔𝗦 𝗔 𝗧𝗢𝗣𝗣𝗘𝗥 - 𝗚𝗜𝗙𝗧 𝗪𝗥𝗔𝗣𝗣𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗧𝗜𝗣:

•𝟭• Use Mod Podge to glue this delicate item to the present.
(Mod Podge = It's an all-in-one glue and finish. And does 3 things really well. It glues, seals and finishes.)

•𝟮• Use a small and classic artist's brush to brush on the glue. This gives you complete control over the amount you wish to use as well as areas covered.

•𝟯• Let dry for 15–20 minutes. Viola!
Another reason I like using Mod Podge, it dries completely clear. And is nondestructive, so it won't eat away at this little, lovely organic topper.

🍂 Already Falling For Fall

Warm browns, coppery details, ribbons, leaves and even a lucky penny. This season always inspires me.

Sometimes the prettiest finishing touches are things you already have at home!

Here's a few ideas to try, using things you likely already have:

🪙 A shiny penny
🍁 A colorful fall leaf
🎀 Leftover ribbon or twine
🧵 A pretty button or fabric scrap
🌰 An acorn or tiny pine cone

🌺 Wrapped in Summer, Inspired by Winter

Rich in color and layered with fine blue ribbon. Rests a bright Orchid floral clip, and a little jeweled pendant slipped into the center thus adding a final touch of sparkle + creative charm.

👔 For Dad, Wrapped With Love

A little late in the day, but still wrapped with love.
