Square Root Planters

We had such a great turnout from The Green Team at Malabon Elementary. I'm honestly shocked how many of these kiddos continue to show up to make this garden possible. I saw so much great character and work ethic in these young people. We planted a lot of food today. As much as Square Root Planters can do, we still need tomato cages for the peppers. If you have any extras laying around, swing by and I will trade you for a plant for every tomato cage you bring. My friends at Eugene Garden & Harvest Center are going to donate the fertilizer for keeping this crop going throughout the season.

Before we even got started there was vandalization to our garden. We hope that the parents in this community can help give their kids something better to do then pull out our plants and stakes.

Anything we can do to protect this garden from harm will go a long ways. Every local little food pantry cabinet that our neighbors have posted on their property we hope to fill throughout the season. Let's get the word out Eugene Weekly.

I couldn't do this without my mom's(Tammy) help! I love hearing all the loving words about her on social media and reviews. I know she's my mom and all...but she is the hardest working person I have ever met. Probably where I got my work ethic from. For fun since she doesn't social media...give her a fist bump when you come through. You might have to encourage her but she'll love it.

Hows your Candy cane mini bell pepper doing? The variegation on this one is incredible. I picked this one out of the bunch because it had the most variegation. I hope the plants from this one next year are equally awesome.

I'm ordering seeds and going to get some going. If anyone wants some let me know asap. We'll be closed for the season by the time it is ready, but we can use this post as a thread and I can keep you posted when it's time to pick it up, no charge. The last 3 years has been amazing. Reminiscing where we started and how HUGE this is going to be. We're already getting prepared for next year planning to over winter peppers, grow some biannual flowers for next year to bloom for you guys, and building another greenhouse.

Just brought out Golden Midget watermelon. Dang those seeds took FOREVER.

I heard threw the grape vine someone is having a issue with their Roma and throwing shade on us for it publicly. In our line of business, no question is a stupid question. We're happy to help as much as we can.
