Sigma Alpha Epsilon

With Hazing Prevention Week coming to an end, we want to take a moment to recognize one of our partners, Lianne Kowiak, for all she has done to help Sigma Alpha Epsilon spread the message of hazing prevention.

We also want to shout out our chapters who are bringing Lianne to their campuses: West Chester University, the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and Cal Poly Pomona, as well as some who have brought her to campus in the past academic year.

Thank you all for leading by example, and thank you, Lianne, for continuing to share Harrison’s story and spread the message of hazing prevention.

🇨🇭 Flag Friday: Stoos, Switzerland 🦁

SAE National Ambassador, Andrew Bentivenga, took SAE to new heights at Klingenstock Mountain in Stoos, Switzerland.

Andrew is currently completing a seven-week project in Zurich as part of his undergraduate requirement at Worcester Polytechnic Institute, developing an interactive tutorial to help a Swiss university use artificial intelligence responsibly and effectively.

When the work was done, he took advantage of his free time to explore the Swiss Alps.

From the classroom to the mountaintops, SAE is going places.

#172 out of more than 330,000.

Brad Cohen (Arizona '85) has been awarded the Distinguished Service Award No. 172, one of the highest honors in Sigma Alpha Epsilon and bestowed upon only 172 men in the history of the Brotherhood.

Brad’s service to SAE has spanned decades and virtually every level of Fraternity leadership. He served as Social Chair, Eminent Deputy Archon, Eminent Archon twice, and on the Fraternity Service Center staff as an Expansion Consultant before culminating his service as Eminent Supreme Archon.

His leadership helped shape the future of SAE. During his tenure as Eminent Supreme Archon, Brad led the Brotherhood through the historic decision to end pledgeship and helped establish SAE’s first dedicated DEI position for a major fraternity.

His legacy is not simply defined by the positions he held, but by his willingness to make difficult decisions, challenge convention, and build a stronger Brotherhood for the generations that follow.

We are proud to honor Brad Cohen with Distinguished Service Award No. 172 and grateful for a lifetime of leadership, service, and commitment to Sigma Alpha Epsilon.

We also proudly recognize Kim Cohen with the Order of the Violet for her years of support for Brad, our undergraduate members, and the Fraternity Service Center. Exceptional service is rarely accomplished alone, and we are grateful for all she has done for our Brotherhood.

Join us in congratulating Brad and Kim on these extraordinary honors.
