Enjoy hibachi entertainment and all-you-can-eat sushi any day every day The chef performs the cooking in front of the diners, typically with theatrical flair.
Todoroki is a fusion Japanese restaurant in downtown Evanston, serving sushi and hibachi in a warm, elegant atmosphere. The concept behind the restaurant is based on the Japanese word "todoroki", an onomatopoeia suggesting the roar of thunder. Inside the beautifully decorated, contemporary space you will find six hibachi stations where dedicated chefs grill made-to-order meals in an engaging and fun presentation. Hibachi style dining is generally referred to as gas-heated hotplates integrated into tables around which many people can sit and eat immediately after the food is cooked. In addition to a large sushi bar and dining room, the earth-toned space has three tatami-styled tables where guests can dine in semi-private alcoves. Our private event room can also seat 40 and accommodate up to 65 guests. ZAGAT
- Japanese steakhouse showmanship involving knives and flames constitute the ‘turf’ side of reasonably priced Evanston BYO Todoroki Hibachi & Sushi, with sushi both classic and creative (including all-you-can-eat options) serving up the ‘surf’ in the divided dining room; brick and ductwork dining areas offer hibachi grill seating, a sushi bar, long leather banquettes and bare tables, as well as tatami rooms and modern artwork. --
