Happy National Dog Day to all who celebrate! Here are some photos of the team behind Impact's team, a.k.a. Impact staffs' dogs. Bonus photo: a Stride into Skokie attendee with her adorable pup in an Impact hat.

According to an NIH article, interacting with dogs can decrease levels of cortisol and lower blood pressure. At Impact, we know that mental health support can come in many forms, sometimes it's therapy and sometimes it's time spent with dogs.

In 2016, Briana walked through our doors as Impact's very first intern. Today, she's our newly appointed Clinical Program Manager. "I went from intern, to therapist, and it felt very lucky," she says.
That same path is now being walked by Jessica, one of our newest therapists. She interned with us as a family housing case manager, then returned after grad school as a bilingual therapist. "It truly has been what I would call a 'full circle moment,'" she shares.
Briana and Jessica's journeys reflect something deeper about our culture: a commitment to growing our own. Today's intern can become tomorrow's leader.
Happy !

Yami, an Impact Bilingual Clinical Case Manager, describes Maria as resilient. Maria is determined to make anxiety and depression give back what they’ve taken from her. This is the third installment in our four-part series honoring BIPOC Mental Health Awareness Month. Next week, we’ll post the final installment.

A safe place to call home is more than just four walls, it is the foundation for healing, growth, and peace of mind.

Today, we are proud to join Hope for Homes Day, a statewide day of giving dedicated to ending homelessness across Illinois.

At Impact Behavioral Health Partners, we know that stable housing and dedicated mental health support go hand-in-hand.
