Creating Space Home Organizing

“Maximalist” is my new favorite term. It invites joy and shares adventures of a life that’s been lived. It sparkles as it’s spoken and lights up the faces of those who unapologetically hold it as their truth.

Because being organized isn’t about the amount of things you have (or don’t have), it’s about the intention behind it. Our homes are a direct reflection of our inner worlds and it matters if it’s being respected. Our inner worlds, that is… and our actual stuff.

Often I hear people refer to themselves as “hoarders”. They speak with disregard, disdain, and disrespect. When actual hoarding is a mental disorder, and not simply just having a lot of things (which is perspective in itself, anyway).

I guess what I’m saying is, if you enjoy stuff, let’s have it. If you need more space in your life, let’s create it. Either way, we’ll embrace the journey of what is true for us, speak kindly to ourselves, and allow what is, to be.

The holidays are my most favorite time to let go. More time at home, more people in need of the things I’m letting go of, new things coming in that will need space, and a year-end marker for whether things are still serving me.
Creating space in your life can feel overwhelming. Where to start and where will it go? If we’re not careful, we can convince ourselves to hold on to just about anything. But, everything is energy and holding on to stuck energy will block flow. And isn’t flow what we’re all looking for?
Join me this weekend on Sunday, Dec. 14th from 1-3, for a workshop in Holding on & Letting go. It will be yoga but not asana. There are eight limbs of “yoga” and asana is only one of them… We will meditate and journal and explore this idea of Aparigraha, or non-attachment.

My name is Jackie and I help people let go of things. Things that no longer serve, tangible or non, relationships, ways of being, etc. I meet you where you are and guide you through the practice and process of letting go, managing your expectations and bandwidth to call in change.

This Sunday at Sol Studio (next to the Colorado Creamery) from 1-3pm, we will be diving in to these ideas, meditating and journaling on the topics, talking about and identifying where you can loosen your grip. You’ll gain perspective and clarity around your “stuff” and leave with systems to implement the shift you’re looking for.
