Chris Markey is an attorney with over 31 years of courtroom experience. He grew up in New Bedford where he attended public schools. Mr. Markey went on to graduate from Bishop Stang High School. From 1990-1994, he attended law school part-time at night and on weekends all while working full-time at the Bristol County District Attorney’s Office. He served in this role as a victim witness advocate supporting individuals and families impacted by violent crimes. Chris Markey’s commitment to public service is firmly grounded in his unique experience, his integrity, and a clear understanding of the responsibilities entrusted to the District Attorney’s office. He brings a steady, measured perspective to this work, guided by the principle that justice should always be fair, impartial, and grounded in respect for all the people it affects.
