Big news for downtown Fall River: Jenna's Corner Lofts is on the way.

Coming to 138 Hartwell Street, Jenna's Corner Lofts will be the sixth property in The Downtown Lofts family, a division of Cordeiro Properties. The building will offer 49 market-rate apartments (29 one-bedrooms and 20 two-bedrooms), putting residents steps from downtown's restaurants, shops, and events.

We've watched downtown Fall River grow with every project, and we're excited to add one more. Follow along for updates as Jenna's Corner Lofts takes shape with 5A Design Studio LLC.

On Wednesday, September 16, One SouthCoast presents its Roger Valcourt Outstanding Citizen Award — the Chamber's highest honor — to Anthony F. Cordeiro at Venus de Milo in Swansea.

It started in Fall River in 1987, when Anthony opened an insurance agency at 24 years old. Nearly four decades later, that work has grown into an agency, a real estate and development portfolio invested in this city's downtown, and a charitable foundation funding nonprofits across Southeastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island all built on a simple conviction: success carries a responsibility to give back to the community that made it possible.

This one's going to be a full room, and we want the people who've been part of the journey in it. Clients, tenants, grant partners, colleagues, neighbors—come celebrate with us.

Meet Gissell Padilla, Property Manager at Cordeiro Properties!

With 10 years of property management experience, Gissell is committed to delivering exceptional service, supporting residents, and ensuring our communities are managed with professionalism and attention to detail. Fluent in both English and Spanish, she enjoys building strong relationships and creating a positive experience for every resident.

Before joining Cordeiro Properties, Gissell built extensive property management experience with HallKeen Management, where she earned a reputation for her strong communication, leadership, and dedication to exceptional resident service. We're thrilled to have her as part of the Cordeiro Properties team.

Outside of work, Gissell enjoys trying new restaurants, traveling, watching movies, spending time outdoors, and giving back through community volunteer efforts.

Cordeiro Foundation grants support Fall River nonprofits The Anthony F. Cordeiro Charitable Foundation awarded $15,000 to four local nonprofits and is seeking new applicants.

With more than 12 years of property management experience, Shannon brings extensive expertise in leasing, resident relations, and day-to-day property operations. She is passionate about creating positive resident experiences, maintaining high occupancy levels, and delivering exceptional service with a personable, hands-on approach.

Shannon's connection to Cordeiro Properties spans nearly a decade. Before officially joining the team, she spent nine years with HallKeen Management overseeing residential properties within the Cordeiro Properties portfolio, where she became a trusted and valued member of the team through her dedication, reliability, and commitment to residents.

Outside of work, Shannon enjoys spending time with her daughter, Violette, hiking, biking, and making the most of the outdoors.
