A first-hand account of positive change! 🧑

It can be hard to see the impact of a single donation, a few hours of volunteering, or one bag of groceries dropped off at our door. But from where we stand, we see it every day. We see it in the relief on a parent's face when they know their family is taken care of this week. We see it in neighbors who walk in stressed and walk out a little lighter.

And some of the most meaningful moments take years to show up. Children who once went home from the pantry with food are now coming back, grown up, asking how they can help.

That's the difference you make, Fallbrook. Thank you for showing up for your neighbors, month after month. We're ending September grateful for every one of you.

🧑 As Hunger Action Month comes to a close, we want to say thank you.

To everyone who donated this September, and to each person who has given to our Under One Roof campaign: your generosity is keeping families in Fallbrook fed and helping us build a stronger, safer home for this pantry. Every gift, big or small, has made a real difference.

To our volunteers: you are the heart of this place. You sort, stock, lift, greet, and show up week after week with kindness. We could not do this without you.

Our supporters remind us what community looks like. If they've inspired you, there's still time to join them. The Under One Roof campaign continues through the end of the year, and there are so many ways to help, whether that's donating, volunteering, or simply sharing this post with a neighbor.

Thank you, Fallbrook. Hunger doesn't end with September, and neither does our work together.

UNDER ONE ROOF 09/23/2026

πŸ”Ά Our roof needs help, and we need yours.

A local roofer, 7-40 Roofing, noticed our building while driving by and offered a free inspection and patch job, and what they found was serious. Their account manager, who has over 20 years in the industry, confirmed that the pantry needs a full roof replacement. The temporary patches bought us some time, but they won't hold forever.

Here's what's happening overhead:
Multiple active leaks threaten our dry goods storage and refrigeration units.
Water has reached the roof deck and support beams, causing rot and decay.
Together, these problems put the roof at risk of partial or total failure during major storms.

And here's what that roof protects:
An average of 9,000 neighbors served every month, with more than 50,000 household visits a year.
1.4 million pounds of food distributed annually.
Families who depend on us, including children and seniors, who make up more than 60% of the people we serve.

πŸ’° 94 cents of every dollar we receive goes toward feeding local families, which means we don't have reserves set aside for a project this size. That's why we launched Under One Roof. Your gift helps us replace the roof and keep food on the shelves for the thousands of families who count on us.

Thank you to 7-40 Roofing for stepping up and helping us keep things safe in the meantime.

Every month, the Fallbrook Food Pantry feeds an average of 9,000 people in our community; a 65% increase from pre-pandemic levels. That adds up to more than 1.4 million pounds of food distributed each year and over 50,000 household visits supported.

Behind every number is a neighbor, a senior, a working family, or a child who doesn't have to go hungry tonight. This work is only possible because of donors and volunteers like you.

Last week, we had the privilege of visiting the Fallbrook Women's Club to share what's happening at the Fallbrook Food Pantry and to ask for their support in continuing this work.

We talked about the families we serve, the need we're seeing right now, and the programs that make our pantry more than just a place to pick up groceries. We also introduced our "Under One Roof" campaign, running now through the end of the year, which is helping us fund roof repairs and keep our doors open for the community that relies on us.

And we shared what's coming up this fall- more ways for neighbors to get involved, give back, and be part of the solution.

Thank you to the Fallbrook Women's Club for having us and for standing with us. Community partnerships like this one are exactly what keeps our mission moving forward.

πŸŒ… Friday Night Market! 4-6 PM

Not everyone can make it to the pantry during the day. Work shifts, school pickups, appointments... life doesn't always line up with regular hours.

That's why every Friday evening, we open our doors again from 4-6pm. Same food, same dignity, same welcome! Just at a time that works better for the neighbors who need it.

For a parent working a day shift, or a family juggling two jobs, those two extra hours can be the difference between going without and putting dinner on the table.

See you tonight! 🧑

Under One Roof donation link! 🏠

Every day, the Fallbrook Food Pantry opens its doors with one purpose: to make sure our neighbors have access to the healthy, nutritious food they need to care for themselves and their families. But today, the Pantry itself needs help.

OUR ROOF IS FAILING.
Multiple areas of our roof are now leaking, allowing water to drip directly into our warehouse- the very place where we store food for the families, children, seniors, military households, and individuals who depend on us.

When you use this link to share and donate, you directly fund our campaign: https://pro.gofundme.com/campaign/under-one-roof/c842903

And it will help protect the promise we have made to this community: that when our neighbors need us, the Fallbrook Food Pantry will be here.

09/11/2026

🌧️ Why the roof, why now?

Rainy season is just around the corner in Fallbrook, and our current roof won't be able to handle another winter of wear.

Here's what's at risk if we don't act:
- Our food storage: thousands of pounds of donated food that keeps families fed.
- Our refrigeration systems: critical for fresh produce, dairy, and perishables.
- Our ability to stay open: a compromised building means compromised service.

This isn't a cosmetic fix. It's about making sure the roof over our food is as reliable as the promise we make to this community every day.

That's why we launched Under One Roof. And why every gift between now and December makes a direct difference.

For over 30 years, Fallbrook Food Pantry has been a place our community can count on. But our building needs help! Our roof is in need of repairs and we can't wait any longer. A dry, secure building isn't just about the structure- it's what keeps our food storage safe, our refrigeration running, and our doors open to every family who walks through them.

Today, and kicking off during Hunger Action Month, we're launching Under One Roof, a campaign to fund our roof repairs and essential operating needs. Because everything we do starts with having a safe place to do it.

From now through the end of December, we're asking our community to help us protect the roof that protects our mission. Every gift, big or small, keeps us standing for the families who need us.

Fallbrook Food Pantry holds a Candid Platinum Seal of Transparency. Your gift is stewarded with the highest level of accountability.
