Our students are growing, smiling, and ready for another wonderful year of learning, friendship, and fun!

We’re so excited for all the memories this school year will bring!

Two weeks, lots of apples, and so many ways to learn! From exploring and taste testing to creating, counting and cutting, our students have been busy discovering just how many ways we can learn about apples!

During science, we put our 5 senses to work as we investigated several different types of apples. Students carefully observed the apples and used descriptive vocabulary to share what they noticed. We talked about the apples’ colors, shapes, textures, smells, sounds, and tastes. Students listened for the crunch as they took a bite, described how each apple felt, and compared the flavors and textures of the different varieties. After our investigation and taste test, everyone got to cast a vote for their favorite! Red apples pulled out the win!

Our art experiences gave us so many opportunities to get creative while strengthening those little hands and fingers. We made colorful apple marble paintings, created raised apples using tissue paper, and used real apples as stamps to make beautiful prints on our canvases. Each project gave students a chance to explore different materials, practice hand control, make choices, and express their creativity.

And what better way to finish our Apple Unit than with something delicious?! We “made” our very own mini apple pies! Students enjoyed being part of the process and were so excited to see (and taste!) their finished creations. The final verdict was unanimous… these mini apple pies were a HIT!

Throughout the unit, we’ve also continued building those important fine motor skills during math, reading, and writing. Students have been strengthening their hands and developing coordination through activities with playdough, dabbers, scissors, spy glasses, and so much more. These playful hands on activities help prepare little hands for important skills like writing, cutting, manipulating small objects, and completing classroom tasks independently.

It has been a wonderful couple of weeks filled with hands on exploration, new vocabulary, creativity, sensory experiences, problem solving, and plenty of smiles. We’ve learned a lot, created some pretty amazing artwork, and of course… enjoyed a few tasty apples along the way! 🍎❤️

🤸‍♀️✨ What an amazing walking field trip to TOPGUN Gymnastics this week! ✨🤸‍♂️

Our preschoolers had such a fun and educational experience with Coach Jenna, Coach Kari, and Coach Cami! They taught our students all about what it means to be a gymnast and gave us an incredible firsthand look at the sport by demonstrating different routines and skills on the floor, bars, beam, and more.

Then it was our students’ turn! They had the opportunity to go through a variety of gymnastics circuits where they learned the basics of cartwheels, handstands, beam, trampoline, bars, and more. It was so much fun watching their excitement as they tried new skills and challenged themselves!

Our students also got to see just how challenging gymnastics can be and, more importantly, they learned that it’s okay when something doesn’t go perfectly the first time. Coach Kari and Coach Cami showed our students what perseverance looks like by continuing to practice and never giving up when a move didn’t land quite right.

What a wonderful lesson for our students: keep practicing, keep trying, and never give up!

The last two weeks our classroom has been filled with the sights, sounds, and excitement of fall! Our preschoolers have been busy learning all about apples, scarecrows, and owls through a variety of fun, hands-on activities. 🍎🌾🦉

From fun apple crafts, to creating our own scarecrows and discovering interesting facts about owls, every activity has given our students an opportunity to explore, ask questions, and make connections.

We are also continuing to strengthen those all important fine motor skills through hands on learning!Cutting, gluing, coloring, painting, picking up small objects, and manipulating different materials all help build the hand strength, coordination, and control children need for future skills like writing and using scissors.

Most importantly, our classroom is filled with opportunities to learn through play, explore through curiosity, and grow through hands on experiences.

We are loving every minute of this beautiful autumn season and all the learning adventures it brings! 🍁🍎🦉✨

A week full of Creativity, Learning, and Fine Motor Fun!

This week, our preschoolers had so much fun learning through hands on activities! We put our cutting and gluing skills to work as we created our very own school buses. As the children carefully cut their shapes and glued each piece into place, they practiced fine motor control, hand-eye coordination, concentration, and following directions. We loved seeing each child put their own creative touch into their school bus!

Our students also practiced their ripping and tearing skills while creating beautiful leaf art. Tearing paper may seem simple, but it is a wonderful way to strengthen the small muscles in little hands and prepare children for future skills such as writing, drawing, and using scissors.

Our leaf art connected beautifully with our learning about the autumn season. We talked about the changes we see around us during fall. The cooler weather, colorful leaves, and the way nature changes with the seasons.

From cutting and gluing to ripping, creating, and exploring the changes in nature, this week was filled with opportunities to learn, practice new skills, express creativity, and have fun! We are so proud of our students and all the wonderful work their busy hands accomplished!

🍎✨ What a wonderful first week back to school! ✨🍎

We are so happy to say that our first week of the 2026–2027 school year was a success! It was such a joy to welcome our returning friends back and meet some new little learners. Our classrooms were filled with smiles, laughter, exploration, and lots of exciting hands on learning!

This week, we focused on helping everyone get comfortable with our classroom routines, reconnect with friends, meet teachers, and feel excited about being back at school. We know those first few days can bring lots of big feelings, so we spent plenty of time building connections, encouraging independence, and creating a warm and welcoming environment.

Students had lots of opportunities to strengthen those important fine motor muscles while creating some adorable masterpieces! They practiced ripping paper, gluing, and pulling off stickers to make beautiful stars. These simple activities are great for developing hand strength, coordination, and the small muscle control children will use for future writing, cutting, and other everyday tasks.

Our dabbers were a big hit! The children had fun making colorful creations while practicing controlled movements, hand-eye coordination, and exploring colors and patterns. There’s nothing better than watching a blank page turn into a masterpiece!

We are especially excited about our new fall dramatic play area, which has been transformed into our very own apple orchard! The children can pretend to pick apples, explore the orchard, and use their imaginations as they take on different roles. Dramatic play gives children opportunities to practice language, cooperation, problem solving, social skills, and creative thinking all while having fun!

From creating and exploring to practicing classroom routines and making new friends, it was a busy and exciting first week. We are so proud of how our students jumped back into school and can’t wait to see all the learning and growing that happens throughout the year!
