Our mission is to guide, educate and empower Black and Brown youth who have been impacted by the injustice system by connecting them to much needed mentors, skills and opportunities so they can live in their GREATNESS!
The YWCA resource fair in white center was filled with so many great employment opportunities and we were grateful to have had a table there to further spread the word about who we are and how we can guide, educate and empower our youth and young adults!

A: 1. Community Violence Intervention & Public Health Models
King County formalized a public-health approach to gun violence by establishing the Regional Office of Gun Violence Prevention and coordinating community-based violence interruption:
Regional Peacekeepers Collective (RPKC): A coalition of community organizations and street outreach workers operating primarily in high-risk zones across South King County (Kent, Federal Way, Renton, Burien) and South Seattle. Peacekeepers focus on high-risk youth and young adults (ages 12–24) to mediate retaliatory disputes, de-escalate active feuds, and provide immediate post-incident crisis navigation.
Crime rates across King County vary significantly by municipality, but overall incident rates have experienced double-digit declines following pandemic-era peaks.
Countywide Trends & Key Statistics
Overall Crime Reductions:
Annual reports from the King County Sheriff’s Office showed an overall 22% decrease in total reported crime across its jurisdictions (unincorporated areas and partner contract cities).
Violent Crime:
Homicides: Down roughly 19% year-over-year, moderating from spikes recorded between 2021 and 2023.
Aggravated Assaults:
Dropped by approximately 22%.
Robberies:
Fell by almost 40%.
Per-Capita Baseline: The violent crime rate across the county generally sits around 4.0 to 4.5 offenses per 1,000 residents, tracking near or slightly higher than national averages primarily due to concentration in dense urban hubs.
Property Crime:
Property offenses historically make up the vast majority (around 70–80%) of all reported crime in King County.
Motor Vehicle Theft:
Dropped nearly 50% following legislative adjustments to state pursuit laws, targeted auto-theft task forces, and anti-theft software rollouts.
Burglaries & Thefts:
Commercial burglaries fell by 47%, and general larceny offenses decreased by approximately 21%.

We want to send our gratitude and appreciation to two esteemed guests and trail blazers who came to our office to meet with our team today.
First, Ms Nicole Giamatti, LPO - who is the Founder and First Vice President of Equity Title of Washington LLC - shared her story of humble beginnings to becoming the first and only Black woman in the state of Washington who runs a title company. Her journey towards homeownership to dedicating her life to help others become home owners is nothing short of amazing, inspiring and empowering!
Secondly, Mr Reco Brembry... The man, the myth, the legend who created teen late nights within Washington state (and other states as well) is simply a wealth of wisdom, insights and resources! We look forward to whats coming down the pipeline under his tutelage.
We learned a lot from them both and look forward to continuing our collaboration, partnerships and expansion of services in order to continue being of service and a blessing to others who need it!

A full week of learning, reflection, connection, accountability and growth. 💯
This week, the Progress Pushers team, , community members and systems partners completed our week-long Credible Messenger Training, strengthening not only the skills needed to serve young people but also our understanding of what it truly means to be a Credible Messenger.
Being credible is about more than having lived experience. It’s about what you do with that experience. It’s about showing up consistently, building authentic relationships, leading by example, holding young people accountable while still seeing their potential and using your story to help someone else write a different ending.
Throughout the week, we challenged ourselves, had real conversations, strengthened our teams and continued building the tools necessary to effectively mentor, advocate for and walk alongside the young people we serve.
We don’t just tell young people what change, accountability, leadership and growth look like, we have a responsibility to model it.
The training may be over but the real work continues in our schools, neighborhoods, communities and every relationship we build with a young person.
Credibility is earned. Relationships matter. Consistency matters. And the mission is bigger than all of us.
