Not just the regular ones but the special kind; the one that gets into the tight spots in and around my nails, giving it thorough attention and care. Interested? But the reality is not all establishments cater to this kind of comprehensive care for my nails. It is the type of care that focuses not only on appearance but also on the overall health of my nails. Before you book your next pedicure... ask one question. 👣 "Does this foot spa have whirlpool jets?" Most people assume the basin is the problem. It's not. The real issue is what's hiding inside the pipes. Every time the jets circulate water, they pull in skin cells, body oils, lotion residue, dirt, and bacteria. Over time, that material can build up into a biofilm, a slimy protective layer that allows microorganisms to cling to the inside of the plumbing and makes them much harder to remove with routine disinfection. Disposable liners are a great step, they help create a barrier between your feet and the basin itself. But if the liner has openings for the jets, water is still flowing through the same internal plumbing. That's why my ideal setup is: ✔️ A fresh disposable liner ✔️ No whirlpool jets ✔️ Or a pipeless jet system that's designed to avoid internal plumbing buildup And one more thing... 🚫 Don't shave your legs right before your pedicure. Freshly shaved skin has tiny, invisible micro-cuts that can make it easier for bacteria to enter the skin if the water or equipment isn't properly maintained. I'm not telling you to stop getting pedicures.
