Had another great breakfast. Thank you to our special guests, J.J. from the Fishers Health Department and sharing her focus on mental health, and also to Jerry Zehr for sharing insights and his new book, āSacred Rebelā. It is definitely a recommended read.
Best of luck to Martha on her upcoming second knee replacement.
See you all next month.

āHow Do We Live What We Really Believeā by Jerry Zehr
From Jerry Zehr ⦠I wanted to share something Iāve been working on for a long time.
At some point, we all begin to question parts of what weāve been given, beliefs, expectations, and ways of seeing the world. And then the harder question comes: how do we live what we truly believe while still staying connected to the people around us?
That question led me to write Sacred Rebel: Fierce Love in a Fearful World. Itās a journey Iām still living into every day.
The launch event will be held on Sunday, May 31 from 2:00 to 3:00 pm at the Carmel Clay Library Community Room A. Rather than a traditional book talk, it will be a conversation with stories, reflection, Q and A, and time to connect with one another.
During the event, Iāll also be joined by two people I consider āsacred rebels,ā individuals who seek to live with courageous compassion, bridge divides, and remain connected even in difficult times. They will share some of their own stories and reflections about what it means to live authentically and compassionately in todayās world.
If youād like to attend, you can register here ā> https://carmelclaylibrary.org/event/16137692

Today, I had a great time talking to sixth grade Sunday school students at a local Indianapolis synagogue!
We talked about Islam, Muslims, Judaism and how Jewish and Muslim traditions are similar and how they are different. These kinds of conversations are so valuable in building a peaceful future. šā”ļø
We need to be like a tree where our roots go deep into our own faith traditions, and the branches grow upwards building relationships and understanding about othersļæ¼.
