We hope you will join us tomorrow morning at 10:30am for worship and God’s word as we celebrate the liberty God has provided for us.

HAPPY 250TH BIRTHDAY, AMERICA! The opening few lines of the Declaration of Independence states, “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.” Abraham Lincoln famously declared, “our fathers brought forth on this continent, a new nation, conceived in Liberty, and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal.” The Pledge of Allegiance concludes, “with Liberty and justice for all.” Our nation was founded on the concept of liberty, but what exactly does this liberty entail?

God has promised liberty to those who are His people. The liberty we have in Christ is both unalienable and eternal. How can we live fully into the liberty that has been provided by God?

We hope you will join us at 10:30am tomorrow morning. We are having a family conference (meeting) tomorrow so things will be different. We will worship in the gym and enjoy a pizza lunch afterwards (baked chicken, salad also provided for those with food allergies).

I am so excited to share a huge announcement with you tomorrow morning. There are times when God provides the opportunity for new beginnings and this is one of them as we take the next step onward on our journey.

We hope you will join us tomorrow for worship, The Lord’s Supper, and God’s word as we consider abounding grace.

The past two weeks we have considered Justification and Sanctification. Justification requires grace to deal with the penalty of sin! Sanctification requires grace to deal with the problem of sin!

Don’t we all need grace? Why is it we want grace for ourselves and justice for our enemies? Why is it we think grace has finished its work once we have trusted in Jesus? What if grace was something that carried and sustained us for victorious living? How do we appropriate grace for our life in Christ?

What can we learn from God’s reconciling love? How can reconciling love be demonstrated in our lives?

We hope you will join us tomorrow at 10:30am as we continue our journey through the book of Romans and examine God’s Reconciling Love (Romans 5:6-11).

TWO IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENTS CONCERNING IMPENDING WEATHER:

1. YES—WORSHIP: We will have WORSHIP at ONWARD this Sunday at 10:30am.

2. NO—CHURCH LUNCHEON: We are going to postpone our Church Luncheon until next Sunday, February 1st.

Sunday’s message is about the Power of Perseverance. Paul describes this in Romans 5:1-5. There is much encouragement in this text. We hope you will join us for worship, Sunday at 10:30am.

Join us tomorrow evening @ 7:00 PM for our Christmas Eve Eve Candlelight Service. We have special gifts, special music, a special guest, and a message about God’s peace.

Doesn’t Christmas come with a lot of stress…and anxiety…and pressure…and even conflict? How can the celebration of the arrival of the Prince of Peace cause such turmoil? What can the Prince of Peace teach us about experiencing heavenly peace this Christmas?
