It’s officially October, which means the 7th Annual Heartbeats for PATCHES Golf Tournament is NEXT MONTH‼️

On November 13th, our community will come together once again for a special day on the course, all while raising critical funds for the incredible medically complex children we care for at PATCHES.

The support from this event helps us continue providing the care our kids need while making sure they still get to experience the joys of childhood. We hope to see you there!

Today, our amazing friends at Heartbeats for PATCHES brought along a very special guest, former Miami Dolphins wide receiver OJ McDuffie!

We were so excited to welcome OJ to our Florida City center to give him a tour and share more about the PATCHES mission and the level of care we provide for medically complex children in our community.

OJ will also be joining us as a special guest at the upcoming 7th Annual Heartbeats for PATCHES Golf Tournament on November 13th!

Special thank you to Sally Russomanno, Herman Russomanno, Jen Resnick, and all of the wonderful Heartbeats volunteers for continuing to champion our mission and for helping introduce more people in our community to the incredible children we are blessed to serve.

At PATCHES, he doesn’t have to choose between the medical care he needs and the childhood he deserves. He gets both. 💜

While at our centers, children with complex medical needs receive the nursing care, therapies, and education they need while still having the chance to play, build friendships, and experience the little moments that make childhood special. Their medical needs should never mean missing out on being a kid! 💜

We are so excited to share that PATCHES is a proud 2026 Coral Gables Community Foundation grant recipient!

We are incredibly grateful to the Coral Gables Community Foundation for investing in our mission and helping us continue moving it forward. This grant, along with generous matching support from our board member Pamela Rodriguez and her husband, Carlos Rodriguez, will help us continue providing vital care to children with complex medical needs.

Today was a very special day as we got to celebrate two of our sweet kiddos on their birthdays.

Looking back at their photos and seeing how much they’ve grown makes today feel even more special. We’ve had the privilege of watching their journeys unfold and seeing their personalities shine. We are reminded again and again of just how much potential lives inside each of them.

As we gear up for our annual PATCHES Character Parade next month, we’re so grateful to our friends at Homestead Outreach Team for once again thinking of our kids.

For years, they’ve donated candy and treats to help make this day extra special for our children. Their mission of improving the lives of others in their community is something they continue to put into action, and we’re so thankful our kids get to feel that love year after year.
