We snuck away to Destin for the weekend to celebrate our boy! 💙

We surprised the boys the morning we left—they had absolutely NO idea all week that we were going anywhere! 😂 They woke up Friday morning to their bags packed and we told them we were headed to Destin, and the excitement was priceless!

Ryle had requested Waterville for his birthday, but when I found out they were already closed for the season, I started looking for another option. That’s when I checked into Big Kahuna’s and found out they were still open!

We grabbed a condo with multiple pools and spent Friday enjoying some pool time—even though a cold front decided to roll through and it was FREEZING! 🥶 The boys didn’t seem to mind one bit.

Saturday morning, we opened up Big Kahuna’s at 11 and stayed until they closed at 5. So much fun was had! And the best part? Nana got to join us for the weekend too. ❤️

It was the perfect little getaway to celebrate our boy and make some memories together. I love that these boys get to experience little adventures like this—especially when they have no idea they’re coming!

A weekend in Destin we won’t soon forget. 🌴💙

Oh, the adventure these boys have had this morning. ❤️

It all started when our Jack Russell, Mabel, found a water snake. Naturally, the boys decided they needed to catch him—not to hurt him, but to relocate him somewhere a little safer (and probably more interesting).

So began the operation: moving things around, setting down a bucket, grabbing a stick, and working together to figure out just how in the world they were going to get that snake.

Then they found a frog. Poor frog. Somehow, he ended up in the bucket too, destined to become breakfast for their new snake friend.

And now they’re headed out to the pasture to relocate the snake.

I love the childhood my boys get to have—where a normal Sunday morning can turn into a snake-catching, frog-finding, pasture adventure. Where they learn to work together, get curious about God’s creation, and make memories they’ll hopefully carry with them forever.

I love this life. I love these boys. And I’m so thankful they get to grow up this way. ❤️
